Dota 2 Mod Index (Custom Skins, HUDs, Models, Particles and Animations) - Games

Hey guys I would like to give a little more attention to the (pretty much dead) modding scene and introduce you to [URL="https://sites.google.com/site/veldtfx/dota-2-mod-index"]Dota 2 Mod Index[/URL] ! Right now it's a fairly small collection of mods that recovers/uses cut and unreleased content, but hopefully it will get bigger in the future. this sounds like the best place to post it, but i made a mod that gives every hero in the game its lore name rather than title. i guess it would be good for people who want to learn all the names dota veterans could use, or for league newcomers??? i dunno [img]http://puu.sh/1TzsA[/img] [img]http://puu.sh/1TxFW[/img] edit: also the mods are .exe files that directly change the vpks if i'm not mistaken, is that vac bannable, or will you even be able to play on valve's servers with the mod?

will the custom huds get you banned?

Sometimes I get that Orca Tidehunter skin when my Dota2 profile page glitches, after a match or so. [editline]29th January 2013[/editline] Anyway those custom vengeful spirits look pretty cool, but I'm gonna go with whatever Valve has to offer. That being said, I kinda hope Valve would go through some of those older Heroes and update them a bit, but it's not a big deal.

The exe's just repack(or sometimes create) the vpk. In essence it's just like modding every other source game so I doubt Valve really gives a shit

I tried it out but the radiant skin is kinda glitchy for me so i can't use it sadly. My prediction is that it will be out in a week so I will just wait till then

Try copying just the name part of the heroes (CTRL + F - find "//Hero Names" i think it was).
