Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear is a tactical first-person shooter computer game developed and published by Red Storm Entertainment. It is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Rainbow Six game based on the Tom Clancy novel of the same name.
Rogue Spear is based on the same game engine and features gameplay and presentation similar to that of the original Rainbow Six. The game pits the counter-terrorist unit, RAINBOW, against global terrorist organizations that in some cases have taken hostages or have armed themselves with weapons of mass destruction. Rogue Spear focuses on realism, planning, strategy, and teamwork. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear was released for the PC on August 31, 1999, with versions for the Mac OS (2000), Dreamcast (2000), PlayStation (2001) and Game Boy Advance (2002) released later. A PlayStation 2 port was also announced at the time, but it was later canceled.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield is a 2003 computer game developed and published by Ubisoft. Released on March 18, 2003, the Rainbow Six video game series is based on Tom Clancy's best-selling novel of the same name.
Based on the Unreal Engine 2.0, Raven Shield is a tactical shooter with realistic properties. Raven Shield moved toward mainstream first-person shooters like Counter-Strike, adapting various features absent in previous versions. These included the ability to see one's weapon while in first-person view, many new weapons and upgrades (including larger magazines and sights), and a redesigned multiplayer.
A console version (featuring the same basic game engine, models, textures, and artwork, but with significantly different game mechanics, gameplay, storyline, and features), Rainbow Six 3, was developed for the Xbox, PlayStation 2, and Nintendo GameCube video game consoles.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Critical Hour is the fifth game in the Rainbow Six series, and was released between Rainbow Six: Lockdown and Rainbow Six: Vegas. Critical Hour is partially believed to have been made in response to criticism about Lockdown straying too far from the Rainbow Six roots, but even so it generally received poor ratings by many gaming sites due to its relatively small amount of content, although it was praised for following the roots of the first games, unlike Lockdown. Following poor reviews and sales its planned later release in Europe was canceled, as well as a port of the game for the PS2.
The PlayStation Portable version was released on June 12, 2007, while the PlayStation 3 version was released on June 26, 2007. The game's storyline follows a new Rainbow team that is dispatched to Las Vegas, Nevada to defeat international terrorist Irena Morales and her army of mercenaries that is repeatedly attacking key locations in the city.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 is the seventh installment in the Rainbow Six series. It is a first-person shooter video game and the sequel to Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas. It was announced by Ubisoft on November 20, 2007. The game was released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on March 18, 2008 in North America and March 20, 2008 in Europe, except in Germany, where the game was delayed. The Microsoft Windows version, however, was delayed until April 15, 2008. It was released in Japan on April 24, 2008 for the Xbox 360 and on May 29, 2008 for the PlayStation 3.
A world-exclusive first-look of the game appeared in the January 2008 edition of the Official Xbox Magazine. It was announced that Logan Keller, the lead character from the previous game, had been removed in favor of having the player create his or her own character to play through the campaign. The player assumes the role of Bishop, a member of the Rainbow squad with a great deal more experience who has a deeper involvement in the story.
The game, billed as "part sequel, part prequel", has events that run both before and concurrently to the story of Logan Keller and continue after where the first game concluded. In addition to the ability to customize a character in multiplayer, the player can now customize Bishop, Vegas 2's protagonist. In single-player, the developers claim to have vastly improved teammate AI, so that now teammates cover each other as they advance. There are also several new commands, for example, the ability of a teammate to throw a grenade at a specific point. It is also possible to give commands to one's AI teammates using the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 headset, or a PC microphone.
Rainbow Six Siege

Siege is the latest entry in the Rainbow Six series. Considered as a successor to the now cancelled Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6: Patriots, Siege puts heavy emphasis on environmental destruction and co-operation between players. It has a very heavy empahsis on competitive multiplayer, the only single player content being a small amount of missions, called situations, that act more as a tutorial for the larger multieplayer mode and a "horde style" mode called Terrorist Hunt. Different operators have different nationalities, perks, bombs and gadgets. The game features an asymmetrical structure whereby the teams are not always balanced in their ability choices. The Counter Terrorism Units (CTUs) available for play include FBI's Hostage Rescue Team, the British SAS, Germany's GSG-9, Russian Spetsnaz and France's GIGN, each of which has four operators per CTU. Additional Canadian operators from Joint Task Force 2, two American operators from the US Navy SEALs, members of the Batalhao de Operacoes Policiais Especiais (BOPE), and operators from the Japanese Special Assault Team have been added through DLC.
While many lamet the loss of Rainbow Six as a single player focused tactical shooter, Siege has also been widely praised as one of the best multiplayer shooters in recent memory. It has a lot of the spirit that made the older Rainbow Six games good combined with very well balanced multiplayer. The pace of the game is much slower than your average FPS and all of the unique gadgets of the operators make approaching each match a little different. Siege ain't no Call of Duty. In a fashion that hasn't really suited Ubi over the past several years, they've also shown a lot of support for the game and have constantly updated it with bug fixes, balance patches, all new anti-cheat, and even some requested features by the community. With the coming release of the new DLC, Ubi has said "Looking to the future beyond Season 3, [Xavier] Marquis (Creative Director for Rainbow Six Siege) wants to reiterate that “Siege is designed to last for years”." BREAKING NEWS!!!: Ubi has announced that there will be a second year of support and DLC into 2017 for Rainbow Six Siege!

can't say i care about the attacker's gadget but the defender looks fun
Yeah. I feel like defenders have constantly been good additions but the attackers have been either underwhelming (Buck) or good but boring (Blackbeard).
the new map better have a soccer ball that you/drones can kick around
Seems like ubisoft is also updating the HUD

Free weekend this weekend for Siege so try it out yourself (again).
who are your favorite operators to play?
i like playing as ash, iq, twitch, and fuze on offense and rook and doc on defense
my personal favorite operators are
Attack:
ash, IQ, and blitz
Defense: valkyrie, bandit, jaeger, and pulse.
Cant beat the UMP
Might as well play Pulse then.
Except Pulse is worthless to me. Using castles I can funnel people into doorways or otherwise waste their resources
yeah castle's bulletproof barrier thing is actually pretty useful
Wouldn't recommend coming to brazil tbqh
Good to see Cidade de Deus still being the first thing people remember when thinking about brazil though (that or 7-1)
Except Pulse is worthless to me. Using castles I can funnel people into doorways or otherwise waste their resources
Oh look, a Sledge.
who are your favorite operators to play?
Def: Mute, Rook, Frost
Atk: Thermite, Blackbeard, Blitz
Oh look, a Sledge.
Could make a counter argument for any operator. I play significantly better with Castle than any other defender
Was playing some T Hunt to get some challenges done and we found some white mask get stuck in a loop.

Castle and Mute can hold down the fort. Don't hate.
What are your guys perfect offense & defense teams?
Mine
Offense: Thermite, Thatcher, Blackbeard, Ash, Fuze/Buck.
Defense: Castle, Mute, Valkyrie, Pulse, Rook.
Offense you have the essential duo of Thatcher and Thermite. Blackbeard as key point man due to shield but he doesn't have a lack of firepower like Montagne or Blitz. Ash because she is OP fast and has a great rush. Incredibly good at blowing the defense wide open. Fuze or Buck because of ability to rain hell from above (or in Buck and Ash's cases, below as well.)
Defense you have Castle and Mute. Castle can use his barricades to shut down objective rooms main entrances and Mute's buffed jammers can make it nearly impenetrable without a live Thatcher/Thermite combo, Ash, or Sledge. Rook because of the health buffs being worth it every time. Pulse due to insane roaming ability + ability to floorbang/wallbang/ceilingbang almost anywhere. Valkyrie due to boost in information from cameras and decent roaming ability while Rook/Castle/Mute hold down objective.
