• Searching for a music composer

Hi everyone. Not 100% sure if this is the right place to write this thread, but i'll try. I'm in search of a music composer for my SourceFilmMaker machinima series based on Half-Life universe. The project is going to contain like 16 episodes from 3 to 6 minutes. It's going to be in a funny/trashy style (mostly likely kitty0706's videos). The main plot is to complete every level in a limited time. Gordon Freeman is having some crazy abilities to do that, so he destroys everything around and completing things his new way. I've mostly done two first episodes, the only thing to do left is music. I've searched music for a very very long time, and could'nt find anything that fits in the video correctly. What i need is some kind of rock guitar fast tempo music that will fit in a very fast running. For more details, please contact me on shutt3hdoor@gmail.com, PM me or type here in replies if you're interested in participating. I assume this will be paid?
I assume this will be paid?
I can't guarantee. It all depends on how many views on YouTube it'll get to give composer money from monetization. I can only assure, that composer will be mentioned in the titles and description :)
Sorry pal, but "payment by exposure" won't get you anything else than the most desperate, bottom of the barrel types. Any artist worth their salt will want payment up front, so shovel up some dough.

I'm as poor as they could possibly be to ask money for doing this.
A true artist cares only about people being exposed to and appreciating their art. I suggest you fire a PM to TCB here on the forums, he does a lot of music and did the OST for Thalassophobia.

Because I imagine not selling yourself short and putting food on the table is part of being a 'true' artist as well.

It is very primitive to think that artist should care about money at first. He should love doing his work, doing it for money won't get the best results. Ofcourse if he needs them for a special reason. I'm not forcing anyone to write something for me, I'm asking. And its the artist's choose to participate or not, if he wants to do that. The only thing i found DUMB here, is your greediness and provocative message. Who are you to make recomendations to act and think like you?

And where did you found that I'm "saying they should be more than happy to do it"? This post is just me searching for music writer, nothing more. If noone would've replied, i wouldn't cry about how awesome my project is and noone wants to participate. I said clearly, that i dont have money at the time to pay. Now it's the decision of someone else, to think if it is good for him or not. What i see from your side is incitement.
