This thread is for all the folk that have forgotten the names of games they've seen or played. Instead of making new threads, post here. This thread will keep this forum unclogged of too many of these types of threads. Bans will be issued to people not using this thread for this kind of thing.
Try to describe your game as best as possible. What year did you play it? Which platform did you play it on? What does the graphics look like or does any games share a similar style/level of detail? What do you do in the game? Do you remember a particular scene/location? If someone recognises the game they will post the name. Previous thread: http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=764105
So I'm looking for one game, it's motocross races on dirt bikes, on PC, released in 2003-2005 (something like that), has ragdoll physics when you fall off the bike. I can't remember how it's called, Motocross Mania maybe, or Madness, or some shit. EDIT: It's definitely not Motocross Madness nor Motocross Mania.

Its an upcoming game... it has something to do with planet exploration with different classes.. There is one trailer with some pretty sexy looking alien instructor :v:
Alright, I've tried google but I haven't been able to turn up anything. It was a text-based web browser game of the traditional kind where you typed in commands to be carried out. However the twist was that the entirety of the game consisted of a Unix command line which you had to use to navigate a system and get access to more and more of it by finding passwords, using ssh to get into other computers, etc. I figure this is the best place to ask about it because I'm pretty sure that there was a thread about it here a long time back. Okay so, all I remember is that it was a 2d Space Shooter, and one of the spaceships you could pick was like an old looking rocket, and you could get different ranks (purely cosmetic) the more kills you would ge on your friend. It wasn't Wings 2, but had a similar feel to it. I don't remember if the terrain was destructible or not, and all that I know is that if someone can find this game or knows what i'm talking about, that would be awesome. :D
A micro racer type game that I played on the original xbox (I think). The part I remember vividly is racing around someone's room that had loads of toy car loops and the such set up. Where's your head at was one of the songs in the soundtrack. It may or may not have involved toy story but I can't remember. (Its not toy story racer for the PS1) It was a 3D game, not a 2D or a platformer or anything.
There was a quite old game where player had a follower who always would teleport behind him. It was caused by the developers' laziness who didn't make the walking animation for the follower.

Hi guys. So there's this game. It's a sidescroller, dark themed. The character is controlled with keyboard and mouse. You move to the left/right and if you go to the border of the view, you go to another area of the map, but in the same level, basically the map is cut into several views. Only remember this :-/
Castlevania?
That's not it. Man, this is gonna be hard, because I barely remember it. Uhm, it's definitely not a platformer. The character and enemies are dark I think and the game's atmosphere is "ambient", like the action is mellow or something.

It was like a topdown bullethell-ish game where you could build bosses in an editor to fight, it was really fun but I lost the usb stick where I had it on :C

So about 12 years ago my Kindergarten teacher burned a bunch of PC games she had, one in particular I really liked. It was a 2-D sidescroller, you had a net and your job was to get to the top of the tower and collect a lot of jewels or something to free the princess. For some reason I remember the title being "Adventure Mountain" but that wasn't it.
It was a ps2 game, was the wild west and shit. I don't remember much about it, but it was violent and there was shit like robbing trains, killing shit, protecting shit iirc. Was rated M iirc. It could be played with friends and i think bots.... Uhhhhh fuck I just remember playing it as a kid. Anyone have a clue? It was a fun as hell game. Oh, and it was a shooting game. But that's kind of obvious.
An old DOS puzzle game, came on a floppy disk from some monthly PC magazine (along with a really sweet breakout clone that I also forgot the name of), was one of those sokoban style games (where you have to push boxes into specific places to beat the level), and there was like different precious stones about you could pick up like sapphires and topaz and stuff, each with their own point values.
An old PC racing game, you drove a little yellow car on diffrent custom tracks you made. It was a 3rd person free camera.. hope someone know what game it is (User was permabanned for this post ("alt of robbansnok" - postal))
could be GUN http://store.steampowered.com/app/2610/
don't think thats it iirc the game also had like, a way to choose a person or some shit. I don't remember much about it as I was young, but I've always wondered what it was.

I remember a game where you played as or against a fox-like robot thing, and you also fight some robot skeletons. There were some anime textboxes iirc, and the boss was this brain-like thing. It was either PS1 or PS2, it might have just been a demo also. I'm pretty sure it isn't Armored Core.
i made a thread a while back for this, and no-one found it. it was a flash game back in 2007, with a very windows 95 interface, very blocky. there was no actual graphics. it was a textbased, except you didnt type, you would click buttons like north, to move north, attack etc etc.
