[b]What is Paladins?[/b]
Paladins is a 5v5 competitive multiplayer shooter currently in development by Hi-Rez Studios. The objective of Paladins is to capture a control point that spawns on the map. Once one team has captured this control point a siege engine will spawn, which then must be escorted to the enemy team's base. To accomplish this goal players pick one of several unique and diverse champions and engage in fast-paced combat with the enemy team.

[b]What sets Paladins apart from other games on the market?[/b]
One of the most unique aspects of Paladins is the cards and deckbuilding system. As your champion progresses through the game, you will unlock cards that you can use to bolster their abilities; these can be anything from increased damage to heals upon killing an enemy. These cards can be customized prior to entering a match, allowing you to spec your champion they way you want to play them and meaning every match plays differently.

[b]How many maps and characters are there?[/b]
At the moment there are 9 champions in the pre-alpha build (Barik, Cassie, Ruckus and Bolt, Pip, Fernando, Skye, Buck and Grohk and Evie) with more currently in development. In addition, more maps will be added throughout the game's lifespan.

[b]What's the payment model gonna be?[/b]
Paladins will be a free-to-play game, although the full details of the payment model haven't been released yet. However, all champions will be free!

The execution looks good so far but can't help but see the similarities between this and Overwatch. Kinda seems like they're just including an item shop with Overwatch's gameplay. Signing up for the Beta but goddamn, "Founder's Pack" to get access to the beta immediately and 20 card chests that have 5 cards each...

paid 0 dollars and i own every card minus 8 of them.

also it's nothing like overwatch's gameplay. the majority of the weapons in paladins are projectile-based like it is in tribes, whereas a little more than half in overwatch are hitscan.

Already found a bug: If you don't have a card selected for a certain slot, you can't select cards for the rest of the game???

People got upset when they stopped support for Tribes in favor of Smite back in 2013 because Tribes was costing more than it was making. It led to a lot of people giving Smite shit just because of that instead of the its quality.

I tried it and did not really like. It plays too much like a MOBA for my taste, I mean everyone can sponge damage like crazy and nobody dies unless my whole team piles up on one guy at once.

I played Evie today. Getting the extra illusion card allows you to jump on an enemy and nuke him down in a few seconds. Shame she is rather squishy.

I've played a good bit of this game, especially when the other day they 'accidentally' changed the card system so players draw 3 random cards.

Highlights include: The dwarf (Barik) being able to spawn turrets without cooldown (spamming the hotkey would endlessly spawn them if you had two cards), Skye being able to melt anyone in microseconds with killstreak (20% bonus damage per kill up to max 100%) and well rested (50% bonus attack speed), and finally, a Fernando who was literally unkillable while standing on the objective.

Since you keep posting links to that site (which I presume is yours?): If you want people to use your website you should first try to make it more appealing for others (not just the look, but the layout and presentation). Spamming links everywhere on facepunch and starting empty threads for games just to have a link to it in them does the exact opposite.
