Greetings Facepunch, About a week ago I started a sub-reddit that is gaining some traction called r/buildaciv. The goal of this little experiment is to see if the internet can come together and build a civilization that cooperates and gets things done regardless of political differences using polls and representation. We use Civilization 6 as a base but the game is not required to actually participate, it just helps model the overall civ a lot better. As we progress and unlock new technology, new civics, new religions, and new forms of government, we will implement them realistically as best we can, holding elections for leadership and representative positions, appointing secretaries/ministers and generals, and building our civ the way we the people see fit. We are soon getting close to implementing a constitution, which will most likely end with us having a council/congress/house of representatives of some sort and would like to invite Facepunch to participate in that discussion. You can check it out at http://www.reddit.com/r/buildaciv A quick gallery of how we've progressed so far. I'll update the OP more as we progress farther into the civics tree and when we first unlock a form of government other then God-King. [editline]1st May 2017[/editline] If this is the wrong section, and the Games In Progress might be better, I hope it wouldn't be too much of a hassle to move it.
Sounds almost identical to /R/Democraciv.
Will it have space like stuff? As that's the massive appeal of Stellaris and the fact that your able to design your civ from the ground up.
Sounds almost identical to /R/Democraciv.
It's very close except that Democraciv only has one form of government and runs in seasons. This will be on going til our Civ is destroyed. There is no turn limits and no win conditions.
In the latest Daily report, we have opened up auctions for land. If you're interested in getting involved in the political process this is the best way to do it. https://www.reddit.com/r/buildaciv/comments/69bvtv/daily_report_2250_bc_turn_126_54175517/
We've also just put in place a basic constitution which gives power to the people and a central leader. https://www.reddit.com/r/buildaciv/comments/69pbiw/the_bindings_of_ivamar/ It's based roughly on the Roman magistrates, senators, and assemblies.
