Banner courtesy of Daniel Smith Welcome to the Facepunch RP general chat thread, a place to discuss past, ongoing and future forum roleplaying games. Unlike v1, which was concentrated mostly on the RPs done within the FPRP Group, v2 is also about all the other RPs too. Below is a list of forum RP related stuff, a good chunk formerly pertaining to Fast Threads - as a result of that section not counting towards posts anymore, the FPRP Group has moved to Games In Progress, alongside any possible prospective RPs, effectively squatting a mainly dead sub-forum! And now, this general chat thread has been moved to General Games Discussion! We have our own Slack channel and Discord server, so check it out. --- Games In Progress Facepunch RP Group The most dominant. The RPs sometimes differ widely, but for the most part hold to a general theme of taking control of a country and running it. A command sheet is written and sent to the GM, who then processes the turns and publishes each turn at semi-regular time intervals. The vast majority of these games die before five such turns are made, but some end up lasting for months on end. During times of inactivity, the RPs tend to die or drop off in between turns or get clogged up, so having all the activity here while GMs write their turns and put them in other threads later is a better idea. The group has its own Steam group, its own Wikia, its own (barely used) TVTropes page and its own (abandoned) Tumblr. Let me direct you to where the GModRPs take place. --- It’s a better idea to chat here when chatting in-forum, because we can more easily discuss future new RPs, do creative writing and art, argue, have drama, chat about things in general, and keep everyone up to date. We can also organize game nights easier through this thread. Keep in mind the OP is perpetually WIP, considering how little I've RPed outside of the FPRP Group, so make suggestions in the thread or through PM.
It would be fun to do another RP. We have had some fun and giggles in previous stories.
If anybody is still interested in a drawing RP do let me know, I'd be more than happy to join in on one of those again :v:
We could restart the old Pixel Wars sub form that we had a couple of years ago.
Oh, well I've never been big on pixel war things I'm afraid Hows about anybody interested in a good ol' DRP rate this post agree and I'll cook something up if we've got enough people, eh?
We already have Daniel Smith's Drawing Roleplay 2: In SPAAACE!...which never got past three posts mainly due to bad timing since this was right before the forum's layout changed and the MS Paint section got eliminated. There's also my Staff of Thaos game in the OP in the spirit of DRP, but only one person made an action and...circumstances...haven't really allowed me to finish an update for that one person.
It would be fun to do another RP. We have had some fun and giggles in previous stories.
I wish the OP of the first drawing RP came back. I enjoyed molesting his character.

Me new turn out for fantasy rp: http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1454502&p=47328546#post47328546 Or, the mid-bronze age crisis.
Heya, guys. I was considering rebooting the first DRP as I don't really want to just throw the setting away as well as still being a bit attached to my character, but there are a few things i'm unsure of. The story at the point of it dying was a little all over the place and i'm not entirely sure where or when we should start off, plus the more free form nature of DRP makes it a little tougher to moderate. The higher viewer rate of fast threads is a little concerning to me as well.(but mostly due to being self conscious of my shitty doodles) Also DRP being not only a creation of my own but an entity contributed to and owned by all participants in a sense I wouldn't want to be the sole authority on how to handle it. So would those interested in continuing or tagging along want to hop on a steam group chat or something or discuss it here?
If we were to make a new DRP, or attempt to continue the previous I think it could be done- but I would emphasize the importance of staying more or less focused on the actions of a core party of adventurers. Live by the old, 'don't split the party' adage. Other than that I would be interested to see some more Rp threads in here.
I have this amazing ability to get sick as shit whenever I have to do a turn.
First turn in The Great Schism has been posted. http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1455661&p=47335888&viewfull=1#post47335888
Oh fuck I posted in the wrong thread. In other news, I'm going to be part of a whopping 3 RPs now. Isn't. That. Fun?
I didn't know we had this thread, and it's not even the first one. Anyway, I'd love to remind you all that this exists and you should contribute: http://facepunchrp.wikia.com/wiki/Facepunch_RP_Wiki

Now, I'm up for continuing the first DRP, as I'm also still a bit attached to my character, despite my infrequency of putting actual drawings in my posts. I'm self-conscious of my doodles, but if someone were to say they were shit, I'd asked them to elaborate to see in what way I could make it slightly less shit. Now, I'd say we do something similar to what Dan suggested, heck, base the continuation on it. As we all know, we are all stronger together, as such, we have to get the gang back together. I mean, if I recall, 6 characters have been taken to a hellish realm called Oblivion and a great war is about to rampage the world. Wouldn't you agree both of those things are reason enough to get the gang back together? I'd vote on having the thread be in Fast Threads. I mean, if it got off page 1, it wouldn't be a problem as a link to the thread would be in the OP. The one big thing I would emphasize however is that the OP for the continuation should give a brief summary of all the events that have happened so far, aswell as a link to the original thread.

DRP would need a committed person(s) to keep the story going. When everyone gets split up and the story events stagnate, it's easy to lose interest.
For people that are interested in finding old threads, here's a link to the archive. Threads from the MS Paint section are either scattered somewhere in General Discussion or deleted. Meanwhile, according to the archive, the FPRP Group began somewhere around here.
I made a new RP, woo. Considering the other two RPs are stuck in development hell, due to sickness or, well, MW2. (LINK IS IN OP)
I'm thinking about making a space ship crew Rp where players are responsible for their own duties kind of like SS13 or any typical crew misfits episodes. An Event could start during the game where some force of nature will harm them or the ship itself in some way and the players will have to deal with it. Depending on their actions and RNG they will either succeed or die trying. I'm not sure if I could go with this it's just an idea I wanted to share out as a first RP I might make. Who knows?

Just so you guys know I've published the RP I worked on, It's called Spaceship Crew RP, let's hope it turns out well.
Hey, i've been talking with Dan a bit about the possible continuation of DRP a bit, but we aren't too sure if there are enough interested parties to keep it alive for more than a little while. Just to check, how many of you are interested in participating?
I'm thinking of hosting another RP sometime soon. It'll be about an alternate WW2 senario. But instead of the Nazis winning, I'm thinking something more around the line of C&C:Red Alert 1. Does anyone have a map that can fit my senario?

And if it continues, will everything be as it left off or is there going to be a small backstory in-between to try and get the parties more unified? [editline]e[/editline] And can we at least declare that demon snail bird thing defeated? It's been in combat for almost half a year.
I'm thinking a minor timeskip wouldn't be unreasonable to jump start the pacing of the thread
What would be the handling of our friend Sophocis? Do we assume we ran away- do we assume we rekt it- or chased it away? Whatchu think?
What would be the handling of our friend Sophocis? Do we assume we ran away- do we assume we rekt it- or chased it away? Whatchu think?
Considering how he was portrayed by Tayasha, I'd assume that, with the decreased amount of people fighting him, he stopped fighting and instead, began conversing with whoever was left at the battle.
Would anyone create an rp that takes place in 1875? [t]http://i.imgur.com/SUF5wgB.png[/t] [editline]25th March 2015[/editline] It will have western vs non western tech, western tech nations can choose 2 technologies per turn versus non-western which can choose only 1.
I think that perhaps we would have run away, maybe leaving the local military to take care of the monster. And, being that the acid has made short work of a good amount of our supplies, we would have to look to the next village to resupply, giving us a good point start off from with a clear first goal in mind.
