[QUOTE]LONDON (AP) - Six people, including three children, were injured Sunday after a car ran into pedestrians outside a Newcastle sports center where people gathered to celebrate the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr. Police said the incident was not believed to be terror-related.
Northumbria Police said they arrested a 42-year-old woman, who remained in police custody. The force said it was not looking for other suspects. They say a full investigation was underway to determine what happened outside Westgate Sports Center in the northern English city of Newcastle on Sunday morning.
"There is nothing to suggest that this is terror-related," police said.
The ambulance service said three children and three adults were being treated at a local hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.
Video on social media, apparently taken minutes after the crash, showed dozens of people in Muslim dress, including children, screaming and rushing forward to see what happened.

Jesus fuck, week after week the UK keeps getting hit with disasters like these.
Why is it so common over there?
Judging from what people who were there have said this sounds as though it was an accident, driver lost control of the car.

This seems like an accident. If this had happened a couple of years ago it probably wouldn't have been reported anywhere except on the local six oclock news. It probably happens more than you expect, it's only since vehicles have been used in terror incidents that we're now going to be told about any vehicle/pedestrian accident ith multiple injuries
Really confused, why do the articles start with "London" yet say they are located in Newcastle? Is that the location of their offices or is it just an error?

Yeah afaik it is just their offices.

That made me read the start of the article like 3 times, what a confusing way to lay things out.
Glad that this was just an accident and I hope those injured are okay. It's so awful that attacks with vehicles have become such a thing now.
