Eight people were found dead and about 30 others injured inside a brutally-hot semitrailer parked in a Walmart parking lot in San Antonio, Texas in what authorities are calling "a horrific scene."
Police described the incident as an apparent "human trafficking crime."
Authorities became aware of the truck overnight after a Walmart employee, who had been approached by someone who had been in the truck asking for water, notified police of the interaction, San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said this morning at a press conference, alongside other officials from the city.
Nothing new really. This happens quiet often in Arizona, and it's not uncommon at all for bodies to be found in the desert.
Depressing to say the least, and one of the reasons I think traffickers deserve nothing short of life in prison.
What the fuck
I hope they catch the sick fucks who did this and make them suffer.
Honestly that feels less like human-trafficking and more like torture. There's not exactly a lot of benefit for traffickers to get all their "cargo" fucking killed by heat and injury, though the fact that it got this bad demonstrates that they really didn't care either.

They probably couldn't care less as long as they're alive TBH

they're human traffickers, why would they care to begin with?
Happens a lot with shipping containers at ports, too.

You also get cases where traffickers try to get rid of the bodies, by the likes of burning the entire car with the bodies inside of it.
Its been in the 100F+ degree range here in Texas...being locked in a storage container in this type of heat is equal to being in a oven.
Just to put it into perspective if it is around 100F degrees the inside of a car can get up to 180F degrees.
Thanks Trump.

We should do something about the areas where these human trafficers have shop set up, but then we're now only worried about building walls and locking certain people out of this country.
Fucking sucks that this keeps happening

It's unfortunate, but human trafficking happens a lot here in San Antonio. Being so close to the border makes it an ideal place, along with the other cities in South Texas.
It's why I've always had to be extra cautious whenever I'd visit my grandmother in the lower economic part of town growing up. We were never really allowed to play out in the front yard there because there would always be people driving by and just kind of scoping out the area.
It's some pretty scary stuff.
Imagine being trapped in a sweltering truck with eight dead bodies for hour and hours, how absolutely horrifying. I hope the other victims receive psychiatric care
