A joker was arrested after he waved a sausage roll near his groin and fooled a passer-by into thinking he was exposing his penis.
The horrified ‘victim’ immediately reported the 30-year-old to the police and Proctor was traced to the toilets inside the fast food restaurant.
An officer attended and found Proctor in the toilets inside McDonald’s.
Mr Palmer said: “The officer cautioned and arrested him on suspicion of exposure and the defendant replied saying ‘It was a Greggs sausage roll’.”
“It clearly was not his penis,” said Mr Palmer. “It was a sausage roll but he made it look like it was his penis, which was disorderly.”
In a statement, the woman said she had been left feeling “alarmed and afraid”. She added: “As a result of this, I will change my route and the time I go to work. I don’t think anyone should behave in this manner.”
Magistrates gave him a six-month conditional discharge after they found him guilty in absence of behaving in a disorderly manner, which caused harassment, alarm or distress.

I can't even find this funny, just sad. Something so harmless being punished.

Oh come on now. I know you thought you got flashed by a dude (what appeared to be at the time), but really?
I wonder if this was the same guy who was racist in Greggs

I don't think this is harmless, it's definitely sexual harassment.

I'd tell you to grow a pair but you'd probably accuse me of sexual harassment

We live in the world when this statement might be a serious thought of someone.
You're right dude if the cops hadn't shown up he would've definitely gone after her with that greggs roll.
I don't think this is harmless, it's definitely sexual harassment.
Are we really crossing this line, now?
The line of what sexual harassment is just blurring more and more because people like you keep throwing it around and don't know the actual definition of it.
The guy didn't get naked, he didn't grope anybody, he didn't try to persuade anyone into any sexual activity.
It was harmless fun.

I saw your face and it made me horny stop sexually harassing me dude
I can imagine if this was the other way around the man would have been laughed out of the police station.

Good fucking god...

If that's sexual harassment then I'm the Queen.
so me jokingly pretending a cucumber is a penis is now a crime
better lock me up cause im a repeat offender
This is some serious english news right here
Very soon simply asking a stranger for directions will be a form of forced integration, emotion distress and physiological harm.
People really do like to milk any situation in this country don't they?
Probably the most Geordie headline in history.

How exactly?
I feel like this was already posted once.
First the greggs sausage roll was jesus, now it's a penis. It's going places.
Didn't your mom tell you not you play with your food?

I think you posted on the wrong site
This is Facepunch, not Tumblr
IDK it seems appropriate to me - the man did this with the intent of making her think she was flashed, the actions he did were still things that were supposed to intimidate the woman (staring at her as she crossed the street and after). Maybe if he did a little more to make it seem like a joke the response would be less appropriate, but according to the article he was making it seem as if he was flashing her.
It's like, if I threatened someone with a toy gun that looked similar to a real gun, I think they'd still be shaken by the event regardless of whether or not they found out later it was not a toy gun, and I think that wouldn't be unreasonable.
Similarly, it's still a crime if you try to sell fake drugs to someone, and people on this forum didn't seem to have a huge issue when police shot a kid for pointing a fake gun at them. Sexual assault really isn't a joke, and it shouldn't be treated as such.

It's not even like he's getting charged for flashing - he's getting charged for disorderly conduct ie being a bit of a cunt.

Can you direct to yourself my penis? Because my erection is lost.
This seems reasonable to me, why would you pretend to flash someone using a flesh-colored, vaguely phallic food item? Someone you don't know, no less. Use some common sense. It's disorderly, he scared someone, and that's all that he's getting charged for. Really don't see the outrage here.

it's a fucking sausage roll
it's a fucking sausage roll
Doesn't negate the fact that it still looks kinda like a dick. If this is the best defense of the situation you can come up with, maybe you should rethink your position?

Man I dunno about you but if I was walking down the street, and someone had this:

Hanging out of their pants, I'd probably think it was a dick, at least at first glance.
