[Gangham Style] became so popular that it "broke" YouTube's play counter, exceeding the maximum possible number of views (2,147,483,647), and forcing the company to rewrite its code. But the song has now been overtaken by another music video - Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's See You Again. The heart-wrenching ballad has now been streamed 2,895,373,709 times; beating Psy's current count of 2,894,426,475 views. ... The song was written for the action movie Furious 7, playing over the closing credits in tribute to the actor Paul Walker, who died in a car accident before the film was completed. With its unabashedly sentimental lyrics ("it's been a long day without you my friend/ And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again"), See You Again has become one of the most frequently requested pop songs at funerals in the UK. It was the best-selling song worldwide in 2015, and received best song nominations at both the Grammys and the Oscars.
Source: BBC News Never heard of this song myself beforehand (don't follow these car flicks), surprising that this would be a new record maker, but hey, can't diss a tribute song.
I am extremely surprised I've never heard this song before.
I am extremely surprised I've never heard this song before.
How is that possible? Are you ever outside in like a mall or anything?
I've only heard this in memes to be fair
How is that possible? Are you ever outside in like a mall or anything?
no one goes to malls anymore
Don't worry, despacito will beat this.
I've probably heard a million times in the car and random places but I never knew that it was made for the Fast and the Furious.
Its not even a very good song It's an incredibly generic radio friendly song
Don't worry, despacito will beat this.
pls can it not considering how rapey it is
I've never heard of this song before. It sounds like the most dime a dozen generic schlock RnB music I've heard in quite a while. In contrast, Gangnam Style had a ton of buzz, and there were parodies everywhere. Internet, TV, radio, everyone was talking about it. How does something as utterly generic as this get that many views?

I saw the movie and can't even remember it but then again it was on cable
I like the song, the ending of Fast n' Furious 7 was a pretty good tribute. Edit: Video Ninja'd Pretty sure that is what is carrying the song.
Its not even a very good song It's an incredibly generic radio friendly song
Welcome to the Top 40
I have literally never heard of this song until now.
Every Furious 7/Paul Walker fanboy has listened to this on repeat for hours every night while crying.
I really don't understand this I mean yes, it's a real shame that Paul Walker passed away, not denying that. But I've had friends on Facebook who to this day won't stop fucking posting tributes to Paul Walker, as if they were a bloody close family member. And yet all he was, was a lead actor in a milked dry, incredibly generic mainstream movie franchise.

But it's a pretty rubbish song imo.
I think it's a nice song, I don't mind when it comes on on the radio. A little odd that this song in particular would get so many views though.
Okay...it's a nice song and all and it's for Paul walker but who/how the hell is listening to this THAT many times? PSY is understandable but this? The hell.
I don't like hearing this song I recall hearing it being played on repeat at the beginning and ending of a funeral I went to, for someone I knew when I was young.
My friends play this song on repeat dozen times in my class. Help.
Holy shit it took me two years to find this song. Thanks for posting it.
Holy shit it took me two years to find this song. Thanks for posting it.
I'm sorry to be a dick but I find it hilarious you struggled for 2 years to find a song with nearly 3 billion hits on youtube. Sorry again
Its not even a very good song It's an incredibly generic radio friendly song
It's definitely not the worst song that could hold this title.
How is that possible? Are you ever outside in like a mall or anything?
I always go to public places with headphones on. I also hang out with people that have taste in music.
This upsets me. Gangmam style got annoying pretty fast, but it had flavor, it was weird for it's time; this song is just boring and cashgrabby
Without failure hearing this song always manages to ruin my day. Not because it's sad, but because it is so infuriatingly shit.
no one goes to malls anymore
Man y'all don't get out enough
if u havent heard this song you have zero social life !!! [sp]sarcasm btw[/sp]
