Oh wow, I didn't even know you could by season 2 in England yet. I checked like last month and I still couldn't get it on region 2, so thanks for giving me reason to check again. I'll have to buy that.
I watched this on recommendations to friends who also like Aqua Teen Hunger Force and other adult swim shows like myself. I watched this only to find out how incredibly bland and humourless it is. There was nothing all that funny about it. Well nothing funny about it really, there were no jokes, not a lot of wit, not even dumb random humour. It just has nothing and I don't understand all the appeal. Oh and I watched the whole first season too.

I don't think the show is supposed to be funny(or at least not it's main purpose), I've watched all the episodes and think it has a decent plot.
Oh there's only gonna be 8 shows in this "season", that's disappointing

It gets a lot better after the first season. They start filling in cool plot points like why the Phantom Limb has invisible arms and legs. As for appeal I would say it is for anyone who remembers anything like Johnny Quest or any of the old adventure cartoons. As far as jokes go I don't think they make as many jokes as much as they get into funny situations. Usually they come out of how much of a bad scientist and father Rusty Venture is.

The show never just outright makes jokes(or at least, very rarely). A lot of it is satire and parody of the old adventure shows like Johnny Quest.

it was a fantastic series all around - it had everything, and everything was done right. if you can't find a single good thing about it then well fuck i don't even know what to say i'm a little breath taken, this was easily one of the best cartoons of 2003-2010 and honestly one of the all time greats - imagine someone saying 'i can't find a single good thing about the shawshank redemption' or something because that's like what i'm hearing now i seriously can't stress how fantastic the cartoon was in just about every aspect.
