Hope to see a presentation soon to ally concerns over the lack of any odometers or any gauges except the screen.
Still want more information about Australia (RHD + Cost).

Summer next year earliest for any rhd markets.
Is the interior still hilariously ugly?

This is the best shot we have of the interior so far from test mules. Tesla have yet to show anything officially though:

They also cover up some of the mules and not others.

Not really sold on the whole empty dashboard and a big ipad in the center look. But maybe that is just me. Also I'm still unsure if that is even legal. Figured there would be some requirement to at least have a speedometer in front of the driver. Granted Mini coopers have their dials in the center too for some reason.

Prius also had it in the centre, though some had HUDs. Regulators in the US have approved whatever final version they have. The car being aware of the speed limit also probably helps since they can make it more noticeable as you approach the limit.

MINI brand cars actually stopped having their dials in the middle of the dashboard sometime about last year.

I hope their officially confirmed interior is better because that looks so shit

Personally I'd be fine with it but would prefer it to have a HUD. Lots of storage space in that interior.

It's not necessarily that but no physical buttons will be a pain in the ass also the amount of fingerprint smudge on that screen is insane.

The Model S already proved the lack of buttons to be a non issue.
The only thing I don't like about the 3 interior is the little roller-ball looking things on the steering wheel.

there are over 400,000 pre orders as of april 2016
I thought this was like 12-18 months away
I thought this was like 12-18 months away
If you pre-order right now it actually will be. Last time I checked, pre-orders were backed up to august of next year.
From the Tesla website:
Production begins mid 2017
Delivery estimate for new reservations is mid 2018 or later
So what about stuff like collision indicators that were on the dash before, are they gonna be on the screen? If you're looking in your side mirror you're gonna be even less likely to see them.

I have to imagine there is some sort of HUD. Many cars in that price range and even lower have even rudimentary LED's for collision warnings.

Autopilot stuff will probably be on the screen. Collision alert will have an audible alert as well as AEB.
This is really soon for having revealed so little on their website. I put money down on one and I'd like some time to mull over the options for it.

You are going to have several months at the very least.

That is up to personal preference, and the S can get away with a lot more because you still have an instrument cluster that you aren't touching.
This does not.

I don't think I have heard of a Tesla owner complaining about the lack of buttons ever. The lack of instrument cluster is a bit disappointing but for me that's because of the autopilot data being harder to see.
I hate the lack of physical buttons. Something as basic as changing the volume shouldn't be so risky.

what risk, the car would be driving itself
