The decision reflected an escalating clash between Singer and actor Rami Malek and was caused by Singer's being missing from the set, necessitating the Dec. 1 production shutdown of the film in which Malek stars as Freddie Mercury, frontman of the rock group Queen, which has been shooting in London. In announcing the shutdown last week, producers Fox, New Regency and Graham King initially said filming was being suspended because of Singer's "unexpected unavailability." Trouble began when Singer went missing during production on several occasions. His no-shows resulted in cinematographer Thomas Newton Sigel having to step in to helm some of the days while Singer was absent. Tom Hollander, who plays Queen manager Jim Beach, also is said to have briefly quit the film because of Singer's behavior, but was persuaded to return, according to one source.
molesting kids must be a full day of work
Credit to Rami Malek for calling him out, sounds like Singer was being detrimental to the production of the movie.
This is bizarre. Saw Singer's name and assumed someone finally spoke up about his behavior. Guess he's just not showing up to work? Wouldn't be surprised if it has something to do with the harrasment cases.
According to another insider, Singer has claimed he is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder because of the tensions on the set.
No, I would say set stress is not why he's suffering from PTSD
I wonder when this creep will finally be exposed
This movie seems just cursed. And i was always interested but not really interested in until Malik came into play because when he was announced to be Freddie i was like 'what but he looks nothing like Fre-' and then i saw the picture of him as Mercury and it was magnificent and i needed it.
I wonder when this creep will finally be exposed
There are enough pictures out there of him flying in his jet with a gaggle of twinks.
The movie is on it's way to becoming a car crash anyway. Brian May (Queen guitarist) who is also producing this is trying to make it a family movie by removing every negative aspect of Freddie's story.
tbh can we just clone Freddie and revive Queen
Hey Joseph Mazzello is playing Roger Taylor. Never heard of the guys playing the others, maybe that's a good thing though.
Hey Joseph Mazzello is playing John Deacon. Never heard of the guys playing the others, maybe that's a good thing though.
Fixed. He’s playing the Dustin Moskovitz of Queen.
