Helsinki airport says Flight 666 has arrived safely in HEL, the airport code for the Finnish capital, for the last time.
The Finnair flight took off from Copenhagen, Denmark, in the 13th hour of Friday the 13th, headed for Helsinki-Vantaa Airport.
Finavia, which operates Finland's 21 airports, said the flight landed eight minutes ahead of schedule at 3:47pm local time.
The flight started 11 years ago and has fallen on Friday the 13th 21 times with no reported ill effects.
Still, Finnair has decided to retire the flight number, but said it was not because of the superstition associating 666 with the devil.
I want to get off Mr Bones wild flight
Now that the prophecy is complete, they don't need to keep the flight going.
Now that the prophecy is complete, they don't need to keep the flight going.
it's convenient that the darkness of winter is already descending around this time of the year, so the next phase can begin soon. the final rites are spoken in grim and frostbitten lands when the sun no longer rises.

Thus is written, we shall now feel our folly. We prayed for doom, and it has come. Why else would we charter such an accursed flight? Even now, the endless torment awaits us. The fell hand of the Destructor twists through the land, creeping from man to man like an arc of lightning between poles, soon to consume all life.

So let be written, so let be done.
I like how Helsinki Airport has embraced the airport code in marketing. There was a sign at the airport that said "Welcome to HEL".
And they still run ads like this:

Life in hel is actually pretty alright.

I imagine if this was in America there'd be daily christian protests against a satanic airport.
hel is pretty chill
I currently happen to live near Hell in Norway, but it was sort of a surprise when waiting for the train to hear the robotized female announcer voice say in English "The train has passed hell" :v:
[sp]"Hell" means "luck" in Norwegian[/sp]

Have the "hell has frozen over" jokes gotten old yet?
I mean, worse things have happened on better flights
