He said it was an "aggressive" cancer but it "doesn't seem" to have spread. The former QI host added: "For the moment I'm fit and well and happy and I just wanted to let you know because rumours had started to swirl." In the video on his site, he said: "You have to recover and that's what I've been doing." He said his family and "my darling, darling husband" Elliott Spencer had been "just marvellous". "Here's hoping I've got another few years left on this planet because I enjoy life at the moment and that's a marvellous thing to be able to say, and I'd rather it didn't go away," he added.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-43171297 Hope it goes all right for him.
Oh man all the best, I loved this man Such a delightful and informative person whenever I watch QI
fuck he looks great for a 60 year old recovering from that
fuck, as a huge stephen fry fan i didn't even know he had prostate cancer..i'm glad he's recovering well though.
F.E.D.
I move that we issue a citation forbidding Stephen Fry from dying within the next 20 years. Only because I think he would find it an amusing take on the get well soon card.
Oh, please, not Stephen. Don't take him from us until he's falling apart. Fuck cancer, seriously.
I enjoy life at the moment and that's a marvellous thing to be able to say
This is very reassuring to hear, I think Stephen Fry's had a lot of issues with mental health and he's said he's come pretty close to no longer being with us.

He was also done for credit card fraud, I think. I hope he gets better. :)
I bet this is why he stepped down from hosting QI and Sandi took over. And if it isn't, it's a pretty amazing and terrible coincidence in time.
I seem to remember he has bipolar, although I am not totally sure. He was also done for credit card fraud, I think. He is well past rehabilitated for that, so I'm kind of not sure why you bothered mentioning it.
