Some people get the luck of the drawn, some people don't. Least it's a decent guy getting the win this time around.
Good to hear he's beating it.
I saw "totalbiscuit's cancer" and my heart sank for a minute. Glad to see he's doing so much better.
this is cause for celebration, but let's not jump the gun, there's no way in hell that a 70% reduction means it's "beaten".

metastases have a habit of coming back again and again

Saying someone's cancer is beaten doesn't mean it's permanently harmless.

I know this better than most.
Had a friend in high school who disappeared to the West Coast for cancer treatment, and he started showing up here again after he was showing signs of beating it back. Everyone was just about ready to welcome him back into the marching band community when he just up and kicked the bucket with comparatively little warning.
You only die of cancer when you lose your will to fight it.

I'm sorry. Don't want to be one of those guys but..
This is incredibly offensive.
Hasn't this happened before, only for him to eventually relapse?
yeah, this is the second time he's beaten it, except he had worse odds this time if I'm not mistaken
You only die of cancer when you lose your will to fight it.
people sure wished that's how cancer worked
You only die of cancer when you lose your will to fight it.
You die of cancer when it consumes your body and your organs no longer function. It has nothing to do with "will." Reality is ugly, miss me with this flowery feelgood shit.
You only die of cancer when you lose your will to fight it.
In the same way you can only die of a blood loss or a gunshot wound to the skull if you lose the will to fight them, sure.
Cancer isn't a magic just-testing-you-lol disease.
You only die of cancer when you lose your will to fight it.
this is staggeringly wrong and incredibly reductive lol. i guess everyone who dies of cancer is just Weak and needs More Energy!!!! U Need More Will!!!
life aint mgs4 buckaroo

I'm trying to will you into making a good post but it doesn't seem to work

In a way, a good fight against cancer is kind of like Rocky. It may seem like it's been beaten, but it's only a matter of time before a sequel rears its head and brings about yet another harrowing fight in the ring. TB's out of the ring for now, but much like the Rocky series, he'll be pulled back in eventually.
But for now, "We did it, Adrian!"
PC Gaming benefits so much from TB being around. I'm glad he's not going anywhere anytime soon.
Damn, son. Here's to hoping it doesn't relapse.

It probably won't for a while, but given how these things go it's probably going to come back sooner or later. Like I said, TB's fight with cancer is somewhat akin to the Rocky films.

Oh, so my dad just up and lost the will to fight for his life, instead of, you know, succumbed to a deadly disease. Alright then. Thanks for clearing that up.
(that's incredibly naive and insensitive dude)
Keep kickin Ass Cancer's Ass Johnny.

Not just PC Gaming, gaming in general, the gaming industry and gaming media (heck even media in general to an extent).

Worked in a cancer hospital for 3 years my son, can tell you without a doubt that you're completely wrong. Doesn't matter how strong your will to live might be, if it progresses too far you're a dead man counting his days in the majority of cases. Outliers don't count.
We need more people like him, keep fighting TB!

Try telling that to millions of family members who lost their loved ones that "They died because they were weak in will". In fact, you might as well include the lecture about how vaccines cause autism while your at it.

It's been awhile since I've laughed so hard over something so edgy. You can't actually believe that right.
Man, Keemstar's going to be so disappointed...
As good as the news is, I don't trust even a single cell of cancer to stay down. Keep dousing that shit in every treatment imaginable until every last little cell has been turned ash.
