Deadwood, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and Sin City actor Powers Boothe has passed away at 68

He accepted his Emmy in person unlike many nominees and presenters who boycotted the event as part of a Screen Actors Guild strike. More recently, Boothe starred as Senator Roark in the "Sin City" franchise and as Gideon Malick on Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."

Was he in Winter Soldier too? I only thought his character was in the first Avengers prior to the show.?

My mistake, it was Avengers. I got them mixed up because he became the head of Hydra in SHIELD.

Man, he was fantastic in Deadwood. One of my favorite shows ever, that. If you like Westerns, do yourself a favor and go watch this right now! Boothe has a great role starting the second season (of course, Ian McShane is the show-stealer).
