American woman charged for macing Wendy's employees over stale chips
MINNEAPOLIS -- Employees at a fast food restaurant in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, say a woman sprayed them with Mace during a dispute over fresh french fries.
According to the criminal complaint, police went to Wendy's Thursday afternoon after receiving a call about a disturbance, CBS Minneapolis reports.
When police arrived, employees told them 25-year-old Eiram Chanel Amir Dixson came through the drive-thru, ordered food and asked that her french fries be fresh.
During an ensuing argument, the employees said Dixson reached through the window. An employee then threw a soda at her.
Dixson then grabbed Mace from her car and sprayed it through the drive-thru window, according to the employees. The manager of the restaurant was hit directly in the face and another employee was also hit.
was hoping they meant an actual medieval mace

Just took me a while to process the meaning of what he said.
"I thought you meant potato chips."
Well duh of course he meant potato chips, that's what a french fry is
...
Oh right, the regional words 'n' shit

Why would the employee throw a soft drink at her? That would piss me off bigtime.
I can totally relate to her anger. I'd mace a motherfucker if I even had mace. Nothing worse than driving off and getting home then realising they've given you all the stale shit that hasn't sold for 4 hours. Amount of times I've ordered a Quarterpounder at McD's and get home only to find it's hard and dry as fuck.
Even when you ask politely for them to make the burger fresh, they still have the cheek to throw in the stale one.
- I don't actually advocate macing a motherfucker for giving you stale food -
I had a McD's give me an uncooked chicken burger once.
Like how do you mess that up?

They also threw a drink in her car, if i didn't drive a heap of shit then i'd be pretty pissed too if someone threw a McDonalds milkshake over some nice leather seats.

oh shit yeah I completely forgot the soda part, I thought it was like a soda can but now I realise it was a cup and probably spilled all over the place. Mace is definitely an overreaction but damn that employee was brutal. she must have been a real asshole to annoy a drivethru employee to the point where they throw soda at you.
It says she reached through the window so I wonder if she was trying to hit them or grab something. I can't imagine they just tossed a soda at her for no reason. I wouldn't be that eager to lose my job for something petty.

I mean, you're still technically correct.
Why would the employee throw a soft drink at her? That would piss me off bigtime.
Well don't reach in through the window then. Speaking as a former fast food employee, there is nothing more threatening that we encounter on a regular basis.

if your being assaulted through a drive thru window and your only defenses are a heavy cash register and a soda cup, you're probably gonna try the soda :v:
in all honesty, it sounds more like she spilled the drink while holding it by instantly reacting to the situation in fear, and it probably wasn't a 'premeditated spilling' or anything.

That's pretty difficult, because the unbreaded chicken is cooked like the beef and precisely timed, and the breaded chicken is also timed in the fryer so unless it gets pulled early, which never happened at my old store, it should all be fine.
Its possible their fry oil wasn't hot enough after a rapid fire of frozen stuff in and out of it. Or a really damn stupid employee just threw a frozen patty on it.

"normally"
"normally"
There are more people who call them fries than chips, I'd say its pretty normal.
I used to frequent that Wendy's when I lived in that part of town. Not what I'd call a jenky area by any means. Goes to show you can get nutters anywhere.

there's a mcdonald's near me that constantly messes up orders in ridiculous ways, like putting an extremely burnt chicken patty instead of a hamburger patty. they ended up changing management after people found mold in their food there
