LEXINGTON PARK, Md. - Authorities in Maryland have charged a 7-year-old boy after they say he urinated on steaks a neighbor was grilling in his backyard.
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy responded to a home on Hawthorn Way in Lexington Park on June 6 after the victim contacted them for a report of destruction of property.
The investigation found that the boy urinated off the roof of his home onto the victim’s grill and the incident was caught on camera by a witness, according to the sheriff’s office.

Damn kids always taking the piss these days, what has our world come to

man hes pretty accurate with his piss i give him that
The 7-year-old boy was charged with one count of malicious destruction of property of $1,000.
Those are some expensive steaks.
I don't think that the age of criminal responsibility should be so low as to allow 7 year olds to be convicted, over here it's like 10.

Could include the grill and maybe even the roof. But yeah I think this is stupid. He's 7 for fuck sake.

Fines in the US are ridiculously high. I guarantee the kid didn't destroy anything other than the steaks.

No but understandably they probably aren't going to want to grill on that grill again.

Because they found the ordeal traumatic or they are too stupid to pull out the garden hose and take twenty minutes to wash it? It isn't like he shit in the grill.
1000$ seriously?!
This could be Problem Child 4 teaser.

this guy might, though
This is like what would happen to Problem Child IRL.
Even though the kid can't be charged, doesn't this mean that the parents as a result are legally involved?

Yeah they're legally involved in this case, according to this source I found; Every state has its own laws concerning this and since this probably falls under wilful misconduct, the parents will be responsible for the damages (which in Maryland, amount to a maximum of 10k)

Aah, okay. Makes sense. Honestly I think this will drive the parents to make sure the kid respects other people's properties.
It sucks, but it's also why you make sure your kid understands boundaries.
Virgin seasoning to go with your steaks.

All that money is going to the government. The justice system love squeezing as much money as they can from minor shit like this. Fines are given like candy here.
Honestly I dont see the point of charging a 7 year old as a criminal. Just give him a stern talking to and let the parents punish him, maybe make the parent pay the neighbor some steaks and boom. Sounds fair to me.

Have you ever met or been a child before? They will fuck with shit even if their parents raised them well. That fine is rediculous and the state is just trying to make a quick buck.

jesus christ, I don't even have that kind of accuracy when trying to piss into a toilet half the time

What a ridiculous and demeaning question. Obviously I've been a child, however if I had even dared do something like this I would have been punished. My parents raised me to respect other people's shit, and if I broke something I would have had to pay for it.
I'm also certain that the fine isn't just for the State, it's for damages done to the neighbor, which he filed for.
taking into account wind, the weight of urine and the distance traveled the kid is a marksman
any little bit of pee touched by any amount of wind would have blasted it out of the way into the yard
amazing

It's like the one time I was once jacking it at my computer to some high quality porn, accidentally climaxing unprepared and blowing my load into my favourite cup.
I scrubbed that thing raw but I still don't feel like drinking out of it anymore.
I can't imagine something like this going to court unless the parents are absolute idiots. Normally, a situation like this would be resolved by the parents paying for any actual damages, saying sorry, and reprimanding the kid.
I have to imagine that the guy took it to court because the parents won't do anything about their out of control kid.
Imagine being so good at pissing you could hit someone's steak.
