A man who only wanted to get rid of unwanted pests has managed to burn down his home with a blowtorch.
Officials in Tucson, Arizona, say that they responded to reports of smoke and flames coming from a mobile home in the Arizona city where a man had been using a blowtorch to remove spiderwebs from underneath his mobile home.
The fire department said that they had arrived to discover that an elderly woman had been removed from the blaze by her son and some neighbours. She had sustained minor injuries while being carried out, but she was not reportedly injured severely by the fires.

again? you'd think this happening once in the world would be enough, but no people still do it. heck a few months ago there was a bees nest in the bed next to our garage and my brother wanted to use gasoline and fire...next to our very much flamable house...

I'll gladly burn every house down on my block if I even think there's a spider nearby.

I'm more surprised that this didn't happen in Australia.

Well now that summer is starting to ramp up with the hot days, spiders and other insects are going to begin their yearly migration into homes so they don't die from the heat.

In Australia we just whack them with a thong.

Thongs are sandals in australia, not the thongs you're thinking of lol.
No home no house spiders. Problem solved.
Well what else are you going to do when a spider has a blowtorch
Too much effort to catch it in a cup and dump it outside, I guess.
snip, mixed up article with different article
If only he'd known that the way insects and arachnids breathing works; you can kill one by simply spraying our favorite poison at them.
That poison being alcohol.
