I live in BC and got a warning. Looks like where I live though i'll be shielded from Vancouver Island.

i had heard that this year was going to be an especially active one on the ring of fire. here's hoping the cascadia fault doesn't go off

There sure has been a lot of earthquakes, big and small, lately here in California and just around the Pacific. What is the reasoning behind such a bump in tectonic activity? Is the "Big One" on its way now?
