Well the game itself is terrible, but I agree with you on the OST, some people hate it but I think it did a good job of reflecting Caim being a weirdo psychopath.

The only good thing about this game was its soundtrack. I managed to pick up the collectors edition for $12.50 and it came with the soundtrack.

the original soundtracks of the early need for speed games, before they brought in the ea trax licensed music, are some of the most underappreciated soundtracks ever. while i like the soundtrack of need for speed 3 better, high stakes has the single best song out of all of them - good enough that ea decided to reuse it in mass effect 2

auto modellista wasn't a [I]great[/I] racing game. it was fun but flawed, though it had a really cool stylized art style. the soundtrack on the other hand was fucking amazing. there's some pretty cool rock tracks in the racing music, as well as some really awesome jazz fusion-esque stuff, but the real standout is the menu music. that BASS. those DRUMS. and then the PIANO hngnghhggh

we all know who grant kirkhope is, yes? viva pinata is perhaps the most underappreciated game by rare, and kirkhope's compositions for it are some of his best ever.

the forza motorsport series has always had brilliant osts (except forza 2, which had a licensed soundtrack). while most of the games have a kind of electronic/classical hybrid soundtrack, the first game is unique in having a rock soundtrack. and holy shit, the career mode menu music is really great. it's kind of like pink floyd, but with a bit of bluesier, riffier sabbath-esque sound mixed in

i know everyone loves rollercoaster tycoon, and while the series has a lot of great music, there's one fantastic track which gets almost completely ignored. as far as rct3 goes, summer air is clearly beloved, but this song from the wild! expansion is even better.
