Police in Toronto have recovered the remains of at least six people from planters on a property connected to alleged serial killer Bruce McArthur. Detective Sergeant Hank Idsinga said the remains, found on property Mr McArthur used as storage in exchange for doing the landscaping, included some from Andrew Kinsman — one of the five men Mr McArthur is already charged with killing. Mr McArthur was arrested on January 18 and charged with two counts of murder in connection with the disappearances of Mr Kinsman and Selim Esen, two men last seen in the "Gay Village" district of Toronto. Not long after that, he was charged with the murders of three more men and police said they were on a wide search for other possible victims. Police expect to file more charges. Investigators are still working to determine who the other alleged victims are from the property. They have not determined yet if they are the same men or other people. Authorities have checked at least 30 other places where the landscaper was known to have worked, including some of Toronto's wealthiest neighbourhoods. Police have said they expect to find more remains in the planters they have retrieved from around the city. Detective Sergeant Idsinga said they have about 15 planters now, but he declined to say where they are in examining them. Investigators are also starting to excavate part of the lawn at the home where the new remains were found.
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-02-09/toronto-police-remains-of-6-found-in-serial-killer-probe/9415518 Nasty stuff. Reminds me of the Snowtown murders.
wtf this is like hannibal
wtf this is like hannibal
Wack.
wtf this is like hannibal
I watched Hannibal and thought "I'm glad we don't have serial killers like this in real life" But this is almost like the fungus guy
toronto, trying to upstage Cleveland's backyard serial killer I see.
"tell me where you hid the bodies." "I smoked them!" "Yes, you smug bastard, we know you killed them. What did you do with the bodies?" "I smoked them!"
Its silly but shit like this makes me fear being openly queer
They found a man tied to his bed when they arrested him. Dude's 66, makes you wonder how long he's actually been doing this and how high his body count actually is.

Friend lives down the street from where the all the bodies were found. He sat outside for a bit watching all the forensics crews piling in. And yeah you generally don't just become a serial killer later in life, this guy probably has a hefty body/crime count.

I mean they have behavior that shows really early on that hints to it(Bed wetting, animal abuse, domestic violence). 22 out of 54 started in their twenties,16 out of 54 in their thirties. And only 6 out of 54 in their teens (most notable would be Dahmer and Kemper)
Imagine being the home owner of one of the houses that this man worked on, the paranoid feeling of being one of the potential homes to host a murder victim; this only shares a pain that the victims family/friends felt to a wider audience. As inhumane as it sounds, I'm curious as to what this serial killer has to say in regards to his choice of victims. Why gay men over anyone else?

Like Dahmer only killing black men (well, besides a few), or Bundy only killing college girls with their hair parted in the middle. There's not too many serial killers who don't have a type.

Or a secret lust that you try and drown out by killing the very thing you truly are(Gacy). A lot of it can come down to control, because by killing something that resembles that hidden part of you you’ve mentally conquered(at least in their way of thinking) the part of you that you want hidden. Unfortunately what also tends to happen is that when you have what are considered by most law enforcement to be “less dead” like trans, gay, sex workers, homeless people. You have killers who are able to rack up a fairly high kill count before any attention is really brought to the issue.
I remember when 2 of the victims went missing a few months ago and the police were like "There is no evidence that there is a serial killer." Then a few months later, "Well, it turns out we were wrong."
