"Chris Savino is no longer working with Nickelodeon," a network spokesperson said in a statement late Thursday. "We take allegations of misconduct very seriously, and we are committed to fostering a safe and professional workplace environment that is free of harassment or other kinds of inappropriate conduct."
Chris Savino, creator of "The Loud House," was initially suspended after multiple women came forward with allegations of sexual harassment, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
All aboard, I don't sense this train stopping any time soon.
Glad these women are taking the courage to stand up. It really is causing waves and hopefully it won't end here.
How surprising; it seemed like such a wholesome show.
But, yeah, definitely fantastic news that more women are speaking up about this.
Before anyone panics, the article says the show will continue.
Let's hope it stays that way. Loud house is the best cartoon Nick has released in years (which isn't saying much but work with me here) and gives them a hope beyond endless Spongebob reruns.
If he did it, it's all well and good. The true problem was that he was fired over mere allegations. Just because sexual harassment is hard to prove it doesn't mean people shouldn't bother.

Just gotta be cautious for false allegations as well. It wouldn't be the first time that false allegations ruined someone's life.
This is horrible, but I was expecting Dan Schneider.
Here's a sample of a series of comics he made before Loud House.

Can't say I find it surprising.

Well that's ......
Something
There's going to be more that come from this I bet, and just from the entertainment industry in general. I've been hearing whispers of someone in the gaming industry using his position to get sex and give the women jobs, but it's all just rumors at this point.

Why do people get exactly surprised by this shit lmao, it's very well known that a lot of animators and people who work on kids cartoons are raunchy af, this is not even scratching the surface of lewd things that animators and artists would do
animators are all perverts

It doesn't have anything to do with it being raunchy.

Because it appears to be a child trying to get a look at his own mother's vag. That's creepy and disguising.

Again, this is not even scratching the surface of what animators and artists did before, even to their own characters.

It's the kind of black humor I honestly expect from artists who aren't as innocent as you think

And Rebecca Sugar of Steven Universe fame drew Ed, Edd, and Eddy Lewds in the past.
Artists in general are surprisingly horny bastards, but only some understand it's a good idea to leave no paper trail.

Uhh what the heck do you expect? "Haha it's a child that wants to fuck his mom, how wacky! Aren't artists raunchy?"
No thanks, I think "jfc" is the appropriate reaction
Also let's be real here, this stuff:

Is miles away from this stuff

Feel free to disagree, but the vibe I get from the first two is that they're trying to be funny and edgy first and foremost, while this Savino thing is just "nah I just fucking love incest"

Well to be fair, he IS called Eddie Puss
Oedipus
So Nick finally gets another watchable cartoon and the creator has sexual harassment allegations. While Dan Schneider has plenty of that but still works cozy at Nick.

I don't think you have done your research well enough on both sides, but on one side you got a joke comic (Eddie Puss = Oedipus) about incest with no actual explicit scenes, albeit questionable material
And the other you have the fucking Incredible Storyboard Jam, where multiple artists have drawn panels of Angelica caressing Stu's testicles and actual incest sex scenes with a two year old, I wasn't joking around when I meant that Eddie Puss doesn't even scratch the surface of what more well known animators have done.
On the topic of "X does nsfw" Don Bluth's work screams "I'm SO into vore, macro and transformation smut " and I'm sure he has a huge furry porn stash waiting to be unearthed just like Osamu Tezuka.
We could go on forever and ever
As someone who's dibble dabbled in art I think animators do that kind of thing because as artists they see the shapes, lines, and techniques more and find it very easy to seperate from reality. At least that's how I ended up seeing art.
So yeah where you might see weird incest sex scenes for them I reckon they just see a dumb crude joke they made with a couple round shapes converted in to a dumb animal character.

I've known about the weirder Rugrats storyboards lol. That still feels like a "let's intentionally make this as fucked up as possible for the sake of the joke" and not "we actually enjoy pedophilia" - maybe it IS that, but I don't care enough to find out. I just find it very strange that you feel the need to bash people for reacting appropriately to incest just because you want to show off how ~in the know~ you are
Posters itt seem to be biased against Eddie Puss only because author got allegated for sexual harrasment, while others do it ""its ok"".
The double standards.
Also, did they even do a proper investigation or simply removed him based on allegations? Didnt see it in the article.

So an Oedipus joke for you is considered to be incestuous pedophilia from the artist, but multiple panels of graphic incest sex with a 2 year old is just an attempt of being edgy and funny?
Right, I wanna see you defend that massive fallacy, where even a child can connect the dots (no pun intended). But seeing as you "do not care lol" I don't think it's very much worth discussing it with you, and neither having to discuss how am I bashing anyone for saying that this whole Eddie Puss thing is nothing compared to shit like the Rugrats storyboards, It's supposed to bring a point that not all animators who work on kids show are innocent, eventually people will find a dark side on their stuff, and it quite honestly doesn't shock me anymore that someone like Savino made a joke comic about underage incest where Klasky-Csupo took it to another level and made it into underaged incest porn. Am I weirded out by it? Yeah it's fuckin incest, but I'm just not surprised this would come out of an animator.
