IDAHO FALLS — Some recent scares at the Bonneville County Law Enforcement Building have the Idaho Falls Police Department issuing a reminder to the public. “Lately we’ve had people bring in explosive devices, black powder or ammunition that is deteriorated. They’re bringing it to the station with good intentions of turning it over to us,” Idaho Falls Police Sergeant John Marley told EastIdahoNews.com. The latest incident happened last month when someone brought a hand grenade to the police department hoping to dispose of it. Having explosive devices in the courthouse put many in potential danger and the bottom floor of the building had to be evacuated. “We closed the doors to the courthouse and made sure nobody could enter before we had to evacuate the first floor of the courthouse,” Marley says. “People in other parts of the building were fine and they were able to shelter in place.” Marley says a military team was contacted to dispose of the device. Bomb technicians secured the grenade and transported it in an explosive containment vessel. It took about thirty minutes from the time the device entered the building to the time it was en route to be disposed of. Of course it's Idaho. Between crazy communes, militias, white nationalist hideaways, it had to be fucking Idaho. No offense to Idahoans. You guys are like Montana in terms of attracting crazy.

Reminds me of two old stories my grandma told me about my dad. He loved to play in the woods with a friend and they would find tons of old WW2 Ammunition here in Germany. One day they would just collect them all in a basket, everything from grenades to just rounds of ammunition and whatnot and go to the police station to dump it on the reception counter with a big grin. Second time it was even better, they found a huge mortar shell, this time they knew they couldn't just get in so they made up a lie to talk to the chief directly, got past the guards and inside the chiefs office he pulls out the big fat mortar shell that he hid under his jacket and dumped it on the chiefs desk. Of course in both cases the station had to be evacuated, 2nd time got him in the local news. :v: My grandma didn't find it that funny, especially not the second time.
Yeah I heard about this on the news, I live about 50m from IF. And I agree, the real problem is in the north :v:
Hmm, yes, bringing an explosive compound or device into a government building, sounds like a great idea.

I wonder if anyone has brought a sea mine in?
I wonder if anyone has brought a sea mine in?
Doesn't count if it's the police themselves that bring the explosives in the building.
Don't you dare compare us to Idaho. In Montana we'd pull the pin to see if it still works.
This explains everything
I wonder if anyone has brought a sea mine in?
They’d have fun getting it off the farm.
