He also opened a symbolic visa-free door to Europe, and met Slovak President Andrej Kiska, at the Uzhgorod border checkpoint. However, Ukrainians who want to work in the EU still need to obtain a working visa.
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-40241348
What a time to not have enough money for tourism
I do wonder how this happens when from what i understand the Ukraine is in a state of massive civil war.

It has stalled into a stalemate. But i wonder does this deal also allow europeans travel freely to ukraine? Anyways i think this is a good step forward both to Ukraine and EU.

Central and Western Ukraine have experienced virtually no combat or civil unrest, relative to the affected area. Western Ukraine is also the most, well, Westernized, and most able to take advantage of visa-free travel. This may also help Central Ukraine pick up business that it lost at the start of the civil war. All in all, hooray for Ukraine.
