Grey trousers? HAHAHAHA get the fuck outta here with that weak shit http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-norfolk-41228803
The new head of a failing school has come in for severe criticism after introducing strict new rules to improve pupil performance. Concerns over the "army-like schooling" at Great Yarmouth Charter Academy have been expressed by parents on Facebook. New rules include banning mobile phones and children have been told to be in bed by 21:30 every night.

Seeing a parent and child crying outside the school, Mr Seal told the BBC he politely asked the head: "'Excuse me, why are you doing this to children?' His reply was 'If you don't like it, get out.'"

A document shared with the BBC revealed the standards of discipline expected from pupils. The 22-page document included the following: - If you slouch, interrupt, talk, pick up your pen or open a book before you receive the signal, if you turn around, if you nudge your friend, if you make eye contact with your friend, if you look anywhere apart from at your teacher, the board or your work - you will be punished. - You never get out of your chair without permission at Charter. - In corridors, we walk in single file on the left. No bags on our backs. No turning round. - At Charter you listen to every single word your teacher says very, very carefully. You don't pick up your pen or your ruler, or anything else, until your teacher gives you the signal. - Teachers never leave lesson to go to the toilet. You need to be professional too.
Great Yarmouth Charter Academy is proud to provide an accurate simulation of North Korean life
Imagine being punished for taking notes on what the teacher's saying :v:
What the actual fucking shit.
Children have been told to be in bed by 21:30 every night and up at 06:30, and warned those claiming to feel sick during lessons would be handed a bucket to vomit in instead of being allowed to leave classrooms.
What the actual fucking shit.
No wonder it's failing when it appoints dickheads like this to head the school.

This is basically what it looks like when you assume that discipline automatically helps children succeed.
This is more like 'Basic Training Rules' than 'Military rules'. Once you're actually out of basic, you don't get punished for stupid shit like getting out of your chair without permission, or opening a notebook without being told (infact, you get bitched at if you don't take notes on absolutely everything).
What the actual fucking shit. What the actual fucking shit.
That last bit sounds like it'd be blatantly illegal, from a child welfare and disease control standpoint.
No wonder it's failing when it appoints dickheads like this to head the school.
In reality, it should have been closed down with extreme prejudice. This is NOT what you do to kids.
Exclusive clip from inside the school
That scene always bothered me. He literally JUST started school. Didn't even know he was a wizard until the day before basically. But then again, Snape getting back at his old bullies son probably made him feel all giddy inside. As for this strange school, do they really expect students and faculty to follow these extremely strict rules? They're so unrealistic it boggles my mind what the guy behind it was even thinking.
I can't think of anything good coming out of such measures. They're more likely to see their school finish like the one in The Wall rather than anything else.
What the actual fucking shit. What the actual fucking shit.
it's ironic because actual military training schools won't pull that shit. at least, they didn't in USMC boot camp. you'd get yelled at, sure but at least you would be taken to a medical facility
I wouldn't even consider this military. Even for our basic training we're not drill this hard, but for fucks sake these are kids.
- In corridors, we walk in single file on the left. No bags on our backs. No turning round.
Wait, what? How is using your backpack properly somehow improper?
This is pure retardation. Can't even take notes? Can't leave the room to take a shit? What the fuck???
Imagine being punished for taking notes on what the teacher's saying :v:
Had a teacher who actually did that.
This school is just asking to have it's ass sued off. I also have to agree with the notion that there's a health risk as well with not allowing sick kids to leave. If any private or charter school tried that shit over here, I'm sure they would've been sued out of existence within a month by parents (or at least I would hope so). I also wonder what the teachers think of this. Are teachers allowed to unionize in Britain because if they are, I'm surprised a teacher union isn't going after the master for not letting them use the the bathroom.
and warned those claiming to feel sick during lessons would be handed a bucket to vomit in instead of being allowed to leave classrooms.
Huh, my old school did this; except that was a primary school. Some awful schools in this country :v:
meanwhile in the US parents think schools need to be harsher on kids
Meanwhile in the US, we still think military academies and private schools are the future of public education.
That last bit sounds like it'd be blatantly illegal, from a child welfare and disease control standpoint.
Sociopaths like the people who run the school don't care unfortunately. They'll do anything for funding.

This is a boarding school, right? This is some Another Brick in the Wall shit.
This is why academies are cancer.
imagine thinking "THIS is how we make people learn!"
"Sure they'll grow up to have cripplingly severe mental disorders that will end in institutionalization or suicide, but at least they'll have their multiplication tables memorized!"
This is a boarding school, right? This is some Another Brick in the Wall shit.
No it's just a regular ass school
No it's just a regular ass school
So they are trying to enforce bedtimes for their students in their own homes? What the fuck? Why? How? This is mind-boggingly draconian.

This is mind-boggingly draconian.
Fortunately the new screens which are being installed in each child's bedroom - allowing them to watch the Dear Headteacher's daily address each evening - will also include a camera in order to verify the intensity of their post-speech tears and applause. A future update can simply program these 'telescreens' to also monitor bedtime hours, and to emit a helpful alarm tone at 6:30 every morning, which will sound constantly until the child registers with the fingerprint and iris scanner at the school gates and submits their 2000-word report on last night's address.
lmao what a shit sounding school. makes me appreciate the fact i was at a decent one that had good teachers and a chill head.
