Today, the Dragon Ball fandom has reason to mourn the loss of one of its own. According to reports out of Japan, Hiromi Tsuru passed today in Japan. The actress, who is best-known for voicing Bulma, was 57. Sites like Otokamu and Esuteru provided stills taken from Japanese news reports covering the star’s death. Right now, the reports indicate that Tsuru passed away in her car after being found unconscious. The actress was rushed to the hospital but we declared dead when brought in for treatment. There was no sign of Tsuru having been in a car accident, so officials are investigating to confirm whether the death was from natural causes.
http://comicbook.com/anime/2017/11/17/dragon-ball-death-hiromi-tsuru-bulma-anime/ So very sad. She was the voice of Bulma for 31 years. She also voiced Naomi Hunter in MGS. RIP
that just sucks
She voiced the best Madoka from one of the shows I hold so much good memories of (Kimagure Orange Road, I had her as my avatar for the longest time here), and she had a small cameo in Samurai Champloo, one of my favourite anime shows ever. I loved her voice and she was probably my fave seiyuu next to Tohru Furuya (Yamcha in Dragon Ball) who she shared a lot of shows with back in the 80s. Here's a video of both of them reuniting almost a decade ago reprising their roles in an anniversary special: May you find peace in the end of the 99½-step-stairway to heaven, RIP :c
Wonder how they're going to deal with this in Dragonball Super
Wonder how they're going to deal with this in Dragonball Super
probably do a very careful search for another VA, its not like other famous anime characters haven't been recast multiple times

Either way, Rest in peace you wonderful woman.
She also did Yubel from Yu-Gi-Oh GX, but it's a shame she has passed away. I wonder who they'll choose for the next VA for Bulma in Super.

But the character's likely going to be recast. Where the problems would really rise were if Goku's seiyuu were to pass away.

Everyone has probably seen at least one show with her doing a voice.
Thats really sad, Japanese Bulma is so much better than English Bulma when it comes to ger voice and inflexion. She actually comes off as this super smart researcher in Japanese, whereas English shes literally unchanged from highschool bulma in OG Dragon Ball. [editline]17th November 2017[/editline] Oh my god shes Merryl Strife too, I watched 4 episodes of subbed trigun yesterday

Aw damn. The Trigun one is what got me. Rest in Piece you mangificant woman.
Can only imagine what will happen when Goku's actress dies. She's 81
