Cellphone video taken by an eyewitness that shows the final minutes leading up to police officers shooting and killing 58-year-old Pierre Coriolan last June has the man's family and a community activist asking why police acted as they did. Coriolan, who was black, was shot and killed in the hallway outside his apartment on June 27, 2017. Officers were responding to complaints that Coriolan was smashing things and yelling inside his apartment on Robillard Avenue near Saint-André Street in Montreal's Gay Village. More police brutality, hooray [editline]7th February 2018[/editline] Hoped that would merge
Excluding events leading up to it, how in any way is that police brutality? He comes at them with a weapon(Knife or screwdriver it really doesn't matter) and that's when he gets shot(Justified), then they subdue him with less lethal equipment, then they use a baton to pry the weapon from his hands. Unfortunate as fuck he died but where's the brutality?
Reminds me of one I saw on Facebook a few days ago, apparently the story was that the suspect got into an altercation with a Quebec police officer. Instead of apprehending and incapacitating them, the officer shot him in the head. NSFL Video: https://globalnews.ca/news/3998841/video-shows-man-shot-inside-quebec-courthouse-after-altercation-with-police/ Shooting happens at around 1:40

It's justified if it's confirmed but if investigation shows otherwise man that's fucked.

The shots before that seemed “legally justifiable” though if he actually had a weapon and made aggressive actions at the officers. It’s pretty hard to tell what led up to it from just the video though.
