He would have likely gotten off with far less if he had been less of a dumbass and constantly tried to stir shit amidst the trial. I remember talking to him on voicechat via discord in the midst of this and he was rather confident he'd get off fairly easy, possibly ending up at a low-sec prison for only a year. Then he doubled down on being an overconfident idiot and this happened.

I think 7 years is a bit harsh - what's the soonest he could get out with good behaviour and stuff? How long do you typically serve on a sentence like this? Also sure, yeah, it's hard not to at least feel a bit smug about him getting punished for his actions; but the larger problem of pharmaceutical companies overcharging is of course entirely untouched by this. I hope him going to prison won't make people forget that what he did is basically standard practice at this point.
