Adrian Pogmore, 50, had admitted four charges of misconduct in a public office. He was jailed for a year.

The footage included a couple sitting naked by a caravan and a woman sunbathing naked with her daughters. A couple who Pogmore knew were also filmed having sex on their patio.
Blue Thunder, anyone?
That title was an experience from start to finish. For real though, the did the pilot(s) all that time not notice what he was doing? I don't imagine it was just the officer up there.

Like 4 separate couples / people were filmed nude, maybes he has been trying this for a long time or he knew / heard that these people tend to be nude outdoors and might've gone looking for them.
I was confused, sitting there thinking "how the fuck was he snapping these shots" when I read the title. I imagined some insanely skilled pilot hovering a few metres from someone's bedroom window as they bang and how bizarro that would have been. Then I read the article and realised all the shots were in public places.
Reminds me of this video of a military helicopter stumbling upon some couple havin' a shag in a convertible (makes me curious now if/what they're in violation of?): The dude in the article seems to have been specifically seeking it out? I wonder how often finding couples in the open is...
Blue Thunder, anyone?
My first thought as I read the title.
Sentencing him, Judge Peter Kelson QC told Pogmore: "You spied on and recorded these naked people from a height of 1,000ft. "You quite literally considered yourself above the law."
I bet the judge was having a whale of a time reading this out :v:
That's a massive amount of money for meh quality pornography. Why do police still use Helicopters anyway? It isn't like the gyrocopter exists and costs on average a Fuckton less money or anything. Sure Gyros can't VTOL (they can do a damn good impression of it with jump-take offs) or ascend while hovering but otherwise they seem like a no brainer for a police force.
