• Is the XBox 360 still worth it?

I already have a PS3 and a PC. I don't use the PS3 much because I'm a PC gamer. (My dad loves it though) But I've lately come to the realization that none of my friends play PC games. But they do all play on the XBox. Do you think it would be wise to get one to play with them? If I got one, it would be this: http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=75847 I'd be paying for it with money earned at my summer job. If I should get it, what games are my friends most likely to be playing? One of the things I'm most afraid of is that I'd buy it then never use it. But I think the incentive to play with my friends would be greater.
You can pretty much play what you can play on the 360 on the PS3. Only major difference in you buying a 360 would be the people you play with. If you want to play with your friends, yes, I suggest buying it. If you feel like paying for LIVE. I, myself, own a 360 and I love it. I think it's honestly worth it.
That's basically my reasoning too. Would I revert back to the PC though?
Don't buy a refurbished one. Wait for the price to come down or snap up a deal, you can usually find brand new ones in deals for 199$
What's wrong with a refurbished one if it has a warranty?
Bad hardware I suggest getting a new one over a used one and suggest getting it over a PS3, there are more people that play xbox live than the ps3 multiplayer.
But it still has that warranty, so even if it did have bad hardware, I wouldn't be bothered...
WHy buy a crappy refurbished one that likely has a 90% chance of dying on you? If you cant wait for a sale to come up to get a new one, think about having to wait for 3 weeks while Microsoft fixes your 360 because it got RROD in the first day.
buy new, sometimes you'll get lucky and get one that's relatively new when you buy refurbished (like who ever bought my old one,i had bought mine maybe 6 months ago brand new and decided i didn't play it anymore after i got a ps3 so i sold it) Just play on the console that most your friends play one, the online experience with xbox is ten times better, i just never played mine because all my friends have ps3's. (before i sold my xbox the last time i logged into live was over 60 days ago.)
Yes.
yes its still worth it
The reason I'd buy a refurbished one is because it's all about money. I still need to buy MW2 which I've seen for around $50 some places. Then I need to take my ladyfriend out sometime soon which is going to be another $40. So that's 90, that coupled with the fact I only have about 300 dollars puts me in a bit of a dilemma. Because this fits my price range, I though it'd be perfect...
Nope, the tables are turned.
Yes. Since almost all the guys at my school play Xbox I have one. Also, the online is way better than PSN, and the 50$ a year is not a bad price if you play everyday or every other day like me.
I agree that PSN Is pretty shitty compared to Xbov Live, but hey, it's free! :buddy:
