Google trends. That's a pretty entertaining tool to me. Here's some stuff I found out. Countries where people search "Child Porn" the most: #1: Trinidad and Tobago #2: Bangladesh #3: Nepal #4: Pakistan and Philippines #5: Sri Lanka Okay, okay... that was just a shock intro. Let's look at something more systematic... Like wrapping paper searches. [t]http://i.imgur.com/2WOrCTT.jpg[/t] Note the spike every Christmas. I love finding spikes like this. Or valleys. Especially when it's hard to understand why. Like... When people look for "depression help"... They don't look for it that much in July or December... Happy times I suppose? [t]http://i.imgur.com/Cwu4SGY.jpg[/t] Also, the countries that look this up the most are (in order of depression) Australia, UK and Ireland. And Google actually predicts that December and July will be less depressing than other future months. Check out that dotted line on the far right of the graph. That's a prediction based on the data. Anyway enough of my "findings". Anyone care to submit more?
does "wrapping paper" spike in December?
does "wrapping paper" spike in December?
Yup. Here's the screenshot with December highlighted. [t]http://i.imgur.com/tAd2Wuj.jpg[/t]
that makes sense
that makes sense
Yeah that seems pretty straight forward compared to the depression searches. With July and December being less depressing months than others. Or maybe they aren't less depressing. Maybe people just... don't search it for some magical reason.
Well Summer and Christmas are pretty happy times
Oh jeez oh gosh I wonder what happened in 2011 :tinfoil: [t]http://i.imgur.com/PF5eYMw.png[/t]
[t]http://puu.sh/azEGO/911b90f483.png[/t] What the what
Shovel Knight
http://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=lenin&cmpt=q Apparently, the majority of searches for 'Lenin' take place in Cuba. That conjures up the image of a depressed Fidel Castro calling "LENIN, LENIN!" in a dark, huge woods into my head.
Israel really likes the word "no".

Macbeth, anything from Shakespeare, and a lot of other books have this pattern The troughs line up with June/July, school holidays :v:
[t]http://puu.sh/azEGO/911b90f483.png[/t] What the what
Someone said Shovel Knight, but could it be the Shovel Dog too? (It happened in 2013 though, not completely sure.)
Reminds me, wasnt there a site that had like a dashboard which kept updating constantly of what people were searching up on google?
https://history.google.com/history/ You have to have activated it though.. Which you can do from here.
(I wanted to see how much things would spike after his arrest) also for shovel if you look at the search queries the spike is Shovel Girl: apparently Rust is searched a lot in Lichtenstein
People look for baby names most often, around January every year. [t]http://i.imgur.com/W3mtENq.jpg[/t] Must be correlated with birth seasons. Also, notice the trend is going down. Reflecting birth rates going down too.
