Whether you have a big one or a small one, it really doesn't matter. Some might be too soft to be truly effective. They can wake us up in the morning. They rhyme with "sock." That's right, folks, I'm talking about your alarm clock. Post your current alarm clock and discuss alarm clocks in general. Here is one that is close to mine: It has a USB charger and is currently duct-taped to my wall. Post now.

Hey, it works.
i use timely. it's free https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ch.bitspin.timely
I've used a number of different clocks from the analog flip face to mid 70's multisegment LED clocks and even one which was simply a timer attached to a siren (that one was quickly replaced) but my parents have owned this one GE clock for almost 25 years and it's just about perfect. It would be cool to own a clock that played a custom MP3 for the alarm but everything that exists are cheap pieces of shit.
I used to have a really old LED clock, looked like it was from the early 80's. I think the alarm itself stopped working so I went out and bought this guy: [t]http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/71r7KCrUN3L._SL1500_.jpg[/t] It's got two alarms and a built in battery backup, I believe it's a lithium coin battery. I can unplug it for a couple hours and it will still have the time and date saved. Apparently it's been discontinued.

I also could've picked this up from Goodwill but my parents were against it:
[t]http://imgkk.com/i/u_ke.png[/t]
Yeah but Google Now "Set Alarm" is flawed.
Hearing an alarm clock during the day fucks with my head and I don't know why.
[T]http://i.imgur.com/LM9g9ju.png[/T] These days I just use my phone, but earlier I used some alarm clock that I quickly bought for 5 euros back then.

I just use my phone. I set the alarm tone to be the same one as my ring tone (a duck quacking lol), so if it wakes me up I absolutely have to get out of bed just in case it might be work calling me (which does happen sometimes).
Mine is similar to the digital one in the OP. I have it set in between two radio stations, so I get woken up by a cacophony of fucking noise. I find I sleep through my alarm easier when it's music.

I have my old phone, my current phone and a digital alarm clock set up during the same time. Both phones have 3 5 minute intervals before and after the main time i'm supposed to wake up at. Still have trouble waking up though. But, i can get up when i need to get up without too much issue.
I use this: Set the alarm and the light gradually turns on over 30 minutes, simulating a sunrise. The alarm (birds tweeting) starts of quietly and slowly gets louder until you wake. I then have my phone as a backup alarm.

Then some fucking bees as your alarm on your phone or something.
I just use my phone. Alarm tone is this:
Anyone else find it annoying how the snooze on old digital clocks is always 9 minutes apart? I prefer 5 or 10 Looked it up and apparently this is why:
Reports indicated that 10 minutes was too long, allowing people to fall back into a "deep" sleep, clock makers decided on thenine-minute gear, believing people would wake up easier and happier after a shorter snooze.
Timely starts off as a nine minute snooze, but it gets shorter and shorter the more times you hit it :v:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vp.alarmClockPlusDock I made it so I need to do two math problems to turn it off. Probably the only way I can wake up on time.
I have one of these old style ones: It sounds like the screams of hell itself.

I use my phone alarm clock And these are the songs that wake me up in the morning (scares the shit out of my mum)
Anyone else find it annoying how the snooze on old digital clocks is always 9 minutes apart? I prefer 5 or 10 Looked it up and apparently this is why:
couple reasons a. modern digital clocks just need to monitor the last digit. if you snooze at 6:55, it just looks for the time when the last digit is one less b. the gearing of the first snooze alarms allowed for either 9 and change minutes or 10 and change. they thought less than 10 sounded better than more than 10
I use an app called Sleep Cycle alarm clock. It sits in my bed and measures my movement. The idea is that it wakes you up when you're in your lightest stage of sleep in a specified time window, and if it cant do that it wakes you at a set time.
I'm a pretty heavy sleeper, I use the alarm on both my phone and an alarm clock to get me up. They're set about ten minutes away from each other. My clock is the same exact model.
I've also got my alarm clock on the other side of my room forcing me to get out of bed to turn it off. :v:
