What culinary region's food do you like best?

Which food do you like best? I'm curious what type of food everyone likes (and it would be helpful if I knew where you were from so I can take some data by region)... and no, "american" is not a culinary region as it encompasses many styles, however a something like "southern food" is since it has it's own culinary style.

I like Mexican food with friends or by myself, but if I were to go on a date I would have Chinese food.
Mexican is my comfort food and Chinese (specifically Hong Kong style) is the special stuff.

I like some real deal Asian restaurants in the nicer parts of my city a lot. Italian is pretty good. I also like just walking down the block and getting a pizza, cheesesteak or hoagie.

It's not a good Chinese restaurant unless it has a duck hanging in the window or they carve it infront of you.

That's because mexican food is just vomit on a plate. Taco Bell takes the best of Mexican cuisine (i'm using that word generously).

I'm guessing you're not from a border state... If you believe that Taco Bell is Mexican food you really need to have some real mexican food.
