Any free ones, that have unlimited recording time, are free, and are easy to use
Don't suggest Hypercam or Fraps.
if it is a source game, then source recorder
Any others?
You will not ever find a better one than source recorder.
I use fraps so no idea
Fraps and Source Recorder are probably your best bet though.
xFire has a good one.
Well, this is what I do. First I record the video in real time, using the console command record (examplenamehere). To stop it, just type stop in console. When thats all done, use playdemo (examplenamehere) to play it. Otherwise use demoui if you forget some names. Demoui is more useful, as you can watch every single angle, skip to a certain frame, etc. Now, before continuing to the next step, download a good codec, such as Xvid.www.xvid.org http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm Now while playing your demo, use the command startmovie (namehere) avi. You might have to Control+Alt+Delete to go to the next step. When you are finished or just want to end the movie at a certain point, open console and type endmovie. The finished product should appear in your Steam/steamapps/(yourname)/(Source Game Name) Now, you can do what you want with the finished product. I normally convert it to MP4 format, then put it in Windows Movie Maker, and Publish it in high quality. My only result using this, because I have no time to do this at the moment, is this.
