• Someone else's pictures are on my phone and I don't know why.

live in Canada and am on vacation in England. After a day out on the street I came home and found about 20 photos on my phone that I had never taken. I have a Nexus 5, and these photos are labeled and uploaded to my Google+. I have literally no idea how they got on my phone or where they are from. I'm freaking out. Here are some albums with the photos - they've been synced to my Google+: https://plus.google.com/117303428345921799309/posts/PV7NdzYUkKE https://plus.google.com/117303428345921799309/posts/Hx24GovfAkA https://plus.google.com/117303428345921799309/posts/cNJ7q16wxeR https://plus.google.com/117303428345921799309/posts/hbwPtaaMmvS https://plus.google.com/117303428345921799309/posts/ZEcFT4DLN5n Does anyone recognize the assets / locations in these photos? The one with the old man in the room really freaks the shit out of me. Is it possible someone uploaded them to my phone while I was out and about today on the streets of London? The only WiFi I was connected to was my dad's blackberry as an access point (he lives in England). But he as never seen these photos before in his life. Does anyone know what the hell is going on??!! [editline]4th August 2014[/editline]
Can you be specific in exactly what the photos are coming up in? Because I took this to mean they were showing up in your Google+ social feed (i.e. posts by other people) in the Highlights (top trending posts/etc.) feed, and that Google+ had just slurped these photos in from others' public posts into your Drive/photos feed by accident. I'm not sure that's the case if you aren't finding a public instance of the photos.
They are showing up in my Google+ Photo Highlights. Meaning when I sign into Google+, go to my photos (all photos, private and public), they are there. I initially found them on my photos in my Nexus, mixed in with the photos I had taken of London that day. They actually appear RIGHT in between two different locations I visited (abbey road and the stables market) which makes me think they were intercepted off the street - but NFC was off and Bluetooth was off so how can that be?!
I've had stuff on my Nexus 5 saved in different albums. Mine have been pulled off online or apps. Do you have an app for browsing forums or something? I ask this because you're on a gaming forum and there's some texturing assets there. Maybe if you had an app for browsing a forum these were cached and are showing up in your photo album app?
That second to last one looks like its in one of CERN's tunnels or some other particle collider. Perchance you had NFC on? Maybe someone tapped your phone. are they in the auto backup section or what
What was the folder that these appeared in your G+ as? The usual G+ synced photos category or something else? Do you use Hangouts? Photos shared with you in Hangouts get stored as a G+ photo collection, and they can be synced to your phone in the Photos app, since it's basically an interface to the photos functions of G+. Same, I suppose, with posts shared with you on G+, so maybe check to see if anyone's actually been using it to send you stuff.
I don't have an app for browsing any forums. And I don't recognize any of these assets from any of the games on my phone. I don't do texturing or modelling. And then there's the real-world picture which I don't even recognize. The photos are put into albums on my Google+, and the big castle one at night is apparently a Swedish castle. NFC is off on my phone, so I don't think that's the case. I've been googling for a way to contact Google about this, but I can't find anywhere they can be reached at. Does someone have an email for Android support?
are they in this section? https://plus.google.com/photos/search/%23AutoBackup [editline]4th August 2014[/editline] or this section https://plus.google.com/photos/search/%23GoogleDrive
According to Google the old man in the room pic is a piece by MC Escher.
Google is sort of infamous about offering you help in the form of a Python script. Check Google+ and see if the photos show up in any posts shared with you.

They show up under the date they were taken. The last link in the OP is from March, but it only JUST showed up in my Auto-Awesome on Google+. I have never been to that location in my life. It's like an abandoned ski cabin or something.
That's going to be my guess for the cause. It hiccups like that sometimes. A couple weeks ago, I sent a photo from last Winter that I took to a Hangout group chat I was in. Google+ took that photo and put it into the album for that Hangout. Then Auto-Awesome recognized that I uploaded a photo with snow in it, so it duplicated it and added the falling snow effect, and then synched that up with my phone and my G+ account. Meanwhile, the original photo and the first round of Auto-Awesome snowfall animation sit in my photos/gallery where they've been since I took the photo last Winter. So, this isn't actually too surprising for Google+ to do. It's still working out the kinks of being the platform underlying almost everything (because that is what it actually is). Annoying, but not too unusual. The cloud just burped, your privacy hasn't been violated.

They show up in the Google Drive section. That means they're being pulled in from Google Drive, right? But I don't know how they got on my Drive or where they're located?!! And why did they just happen to show up after a day on the streets of London?! [editline]4th August 2014[/editline]
That's going to be my guess for the cause.
search for "2294472375_24a3b8ef46_o-PANO.jpg" in your drive
lmfao. they are from the three.js library from Chrome Workshop. I downloaded it yesterday morning and they must have synced to my drive when I connected to my dad's access point. Thank you sir. Mystery Solved. (The pano was Auto-Awesome taking the picture and turning it into a panorama - I had to search for the other file names to find the source in my Drive)
looks like your life is now a horror movie hope you ain't black
