Post pics of the time that your videocard decided to pack it in!
Bonus points if the computer you are posting from has a dead videocard at time of post (like mine :crying:)

Why is it that the illiterate can't spell?
My 8800gts died a few months ago along with my xbox, same day too. It was really wierd.
It was a shame too, it was a really good card.
Any here's a pic of what happened.

I don't have pics but CS:S went insane in the middle of a tourney.
I don't have pics either, but my crappy integrated video chipset... it totally screwed up. :3

7m 45s @ 385f.
ITS LESS THEN 8 MINUTES TO COOK!
Sweet, I had this issue to with mine, thankfully I held onto it, now to test this in the morning.
I actually might break a videocard, just to bake it.
I once stepped on my brand new :saddowns:
Wasn´t fun.
My old video card decided to overheat constantly even after I cleaned it out, to this day I have no idea why it suddenly decided to overheat.
(Fan was fine, running at optimal capacity.)
I almost microwaved my old one. :tinfoil:
my old one was a 8400GS, it was completely fried.
the computer wouldn't start anymore, instead it would make beeps that told us the graphics card died (you can tell what problem it is by the beeps as I was told)
now I got this 9800GT as a replacement

Cook the old dead one. No harm in trying.

I have three dead 7600 GS HD edition (The one with DVI, HDMI, RCA, and SVIDEO output) lying around. Two have severe artifact problems, and one simply does not work at all. I tried reflowing (not the "oven trick"), and even reballing the GPU; didn't resolve the problems
Won't baking the card deposit toxic fumes/material into your oven?

It does, but people decides to do them anyways because they are willing to try anything to save their precious little cards.
A graphics card is worth more than your health... Wow.
My 8800GTS broke today. I'm getting a replacement soon, then I'll try the baking method :v:

Negligible fumes. You'd have to bake a truckload of cards every day.
ATI 3850HD AGP sapphire.
I nearly blew that thing up with dynamite it was so bad.
Not one month after getting it the computer would lock up for five seconds, blank screen and it would come back spouting "ATI CCC's drivers stopped responding and had to be reset."
This happened if i did so much as grab the steam window and move it.
i now have a 4870HD PCI-E XFX and it fucking amazing.
