a serrated knife isn't the same as a straight edged knife with notches in it.
each little serration is like an individual knife blade sharpened on two sides.
even if it were practical to make a straight edged knife serrated it would take an insane amount of time and probably some very high precision tooling.
and there's no good reason to put serrations in a straight edged knife - as long as you keep the edge sharp and honed on a straight edged knife it's much better than a serrated knife.
