Hey guys, post a few firearms you think look cool. Note to gun "experts": This thread doesn't care about anything other than the LOOK of the weapon, so if you know of a gun that looks really cool, post it here, even if it's an unreliable piece of shit that couldn't kill a cripple from point blank. Personally, I have a thing for small, slightly futuristic-looking guns. One that caught my imagination recently was the Magpul PDR-C Also, the Mateba Autorevolver is one mean-looking handgun, I think it's popular in some Anime show, not sure though : So, what guns do YOU think look really good. Oh, and by the way, Tactic00l is OK in this thread if the gun looks good with a bunch of gizmos strapped on.
Mateba Autorevolver is Deckards gun in Blade Runner, watch it sometime.
Mateba Autorevolver is Deckers gun in Blade Runner, watch it sometime.
That's one of my favorite movies, and I just watched it yesterday, but the gun isn't a Mateba. It IS a pretty mean looking gun, unfortunately, while it was made with parts of two real guns, I don't think it's a functional weapon. The guns used build this prop are the Steyr-Mannlicher Model SL: and a Charter Arms Bulldog, not sure which model though : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charter_Arms_Bulldog Edit : also, his name is Deckard, like in the book the movie was inspired by, Philip K. Dick's "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?"

M1 Garand, B.A.R, Browning M2, M1911 a1 (only with wooden furnishing though), STG 44, MG-42, C-96 Mauser, Mauser 98, Luger. :flashfap:
M1 Garand, B.A.R, Browning M2, M1911 a1 (only with wooden furnishing though), STG 44, MG-42, C-96 Mauser, Mauser 98, Luger. :flashfap:
WOW nostalgia fag get out
I like those guns because wood and steel look cool together. They are also neat because you can look at them and see the evolution from old firearms to modern designs. the history is just a bonus.
Pancor Jackhammer, I don't think it was ever made, and has only been an idea.
Pancor Jackhammer, I don't think it was ever made, and has only been an idea. *image*
Only two functional prototypes were ever created, and according to various sources both prototypes have since been destroyed with the end of the project. See the following for more info: http://world.guns.ru/shotgun/usa/jackhammer-e.html And now for my favorites. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/8UVyD.jpg[/thumb] Kel-Tec RFB I just think this thing looks awesome, but I have no idea how it performs. It helps that I have a sweet spot for bullpups. Groza OC-14 This is a Kalashnikov action in a bullpup design chambered for 9x39mm subsonic ammunition and with an integrated 40mm grenade launcher. The subsonic ammo means that has very limited range outside of urban combat situations. But that isn't necessarily a negative, as Speznaz has proven that it can be used very effectively in close quarters and urban settings. Also known to STALKERS as a reliable alternative to the AK-74. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/1gJH8.jpg[/thumb] VSS "Vintorez" Also chambered to the same subsonic 9x39mm round as the Groza, but with the added benefit of an integrated silencer. Similarly, it is limited to urban combat due to its lack of range. The combination of an integral silencer and the use of subsonic ammunition means that is very difficult to make out when this weapon is even firing. Some who have gone up against it have reported that it is easier to listen for the cycling of the bolt rather than the actual shot, as it is so quiet. Although considered a sniper rifle it is used exclusively as a DMR. Mauser C-96 and variants I'm not really going to explain this much, I just REALLY like this weapon's aesthetics. Garand in .458 This is an M1 Garand chambered in .458 magnum. Your argument is invalid.
XM8/thread
XM8 = Fishgun
Yeah, never been a fan of the fishgun. They have them in BFBC2 and I just can't get used to the way they look. I can be completely owning the battlefield with one of them, it just doesn't look and feel right to me.

MBA Gyrojet. It's a rocket launcher pistol. It's a rifle. It's a pistol. It's a sniper. It shoots in space. It shoots underwater. It's awesome. (even though it sucked, and if you used it as a sniper rifle you're probably handicapped in the mental region.)
I find the UTS-15 to be pretty mean looking. I also find the G36 to be pretty good looking. Bonus points for the fact that it also has quite a few configurations to.
Beautiful. I love the look of it. Even if it's jams on the first time you pull the trigger.
Beautiful. I love the look of it. Even if it's jams on the first time you pull the trigger.
Or if it smacks you in the face.
Or if it smacks you in the face.
Then you're holding it wrong.
Pretty much. Pull the trigger. Round fires, you get a burning barrel hitting your face after not realizing the pure power of the gun, and you've just broken your nose. The clean, shining look of the barrel is now dirtied with blood and dirt, and perhaps a bit of mud.
The Mateba Autorevolver (in two different versions) is the signature weapon of Togusa in the anime series Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and the film series Ghost in the Shell, to be exact.
Mind if I share a cool prototype weapon?
Mind if I share a cool prototype weapon?
Is that a hand-cannon?
Mind if I share a cool prototype weapon?
augmented version
anything with a masterkey looks amazing.
Beautiful. I love the look of it. Even if it's jams on the first time you pull the trigger.
As much as I hate the Deagle and how popular it is, that bolt is fucking gorgeous.

However, the Automag is even more gorgeous.
XM8 as noted above. I wish they had a civilian produced semi auto version. Also U.S. ordnance mk43 k98 Maybe I'll throw in some more later, but for now here's a site with some cool bullpup modifications to several firearms. I'll probably get the Mosin one, moreso for the modification of the original horrible shitty bolt turn safety. http://www.cbrps.com/Products.html
I like the water jacket.
