Overclockers UK - Anyone bought from them in the past?

Hey Facepunch, I'm thinking of buying a computer from Overclockers UK (Titan Goliath with a 5970 :D) and I was wondering if anyone had bought from them before, cause they seem to have mixed online reviews. Please don't give me the usual "Build your own pc, blah blah" because I don't have the confidence, I don't want to, and it would probably cost similar for all it's worth anyway. I just want to know if they're trustable.
Thanks. :D
Yeah plenty of times. Trustable.
I've bought a graphics card from them before, but never anything big. Thanks for saying they're right tough. I get all paranoid about this kind of stuff.
yeah overclockers uk are great ordered quite a few things in the past, never had any trouble
Thanks man
Yeah i ordered a few things
only problem is they said they had a mobo so i bought it
then it was out of stock
then they lost it
pfff never again thanks
also they dont have them in stock i bet soon as you order it
you'll get an email saying its out of stock or you some problem with your order its almost a guarantee.
no e-tailer country has them in stock so i've just been told lol
I'm not bothered about it being instantly in stock, since the card is pretty much out of stock everywhere. I have to ring them up to discuss when it's going to arrive first. I think your problem was a one off, or perhaps they literally did run out of stock just as you bought it. It happens :bang:
I bought the parts for a whole computer from them last year - the delivery is where their credibility ended, for me.
First the Samsung DVD drive packed in, then the graphics card - all within a couple of weeks. Now this can be expected to happen sometimes, and isn't overclocker's fault, but the customer service I received was nowhere near satisfactory.
I don't recommend them. I do recommend www.ebuyer.com and www.scan.co.uk.
I brought a mobo + ram + CPU from them not too long ago, it was all great but the price was down in a sale which ended on wednesday, just before I brought it :argh: then it went down again after I'd made the purchase.

This.
I'm having to send back 2 brand new 1TB Samsung drives since both didn't work out of the box. POST screen showed they were faulty. Customer service isn't the greatest either when I asked to RMA them.
I'll through in CCL in there. Had no trouble with them before.
I could go into the details, but let's just say they sent me a broken replacement graphics card, refused to believe that said card was broken, and ended in myself having a bill for about £60 in postage and their 'fee' for their technical departments' 'testing' of my card. It was broken, and they did, eventually, replace it - however my plees for a refund on postage and other 'fees' fell on deaf ears. In all it took 3 months to sort it out.
Their prices are often too high anyway.
