[Crisis Averted!] Info is NEEDED regarding Sobotnik - General

We have a major situation going down at the moment. Facepunch user Sobotnik has just told me that he is going through with a suicide plan of his involving copper sulfate and zinc consumption, and at the moment he has not responded to any of us on Steam within the last 30 minutes. Several FP'ers have been phoning the Edinburgh PD, and trying to find a way to figure out where Sobotnik is at the moment in order to help and possibly save him from killing himself. We need info as quick as possible. If any of you have information regarding the following [B] - His Full Name - His Facebook - Address(PM JoeSkylynx)[/B] Please for the love of all that is holy contact me or post it in this thread. One of our own may end up killing himself, and we need to help him before it is too late. We have one of our fellow FP'ers on the phone with Edinburgh's police and without any of the three things above, we cannot figure out where Sobotnik is, and help him.

Please don't fuck around with this either, the last thing anyone needs is for people to be trolling us because they don't like Sobotnik or some shit. Any proof that you can provide that you actually do know Sobotnik would be appreciated, that way we're not just trusting a stranger that they know him. Even small details like his name are greatly helpful. I don't know his information myself, but if anyone can get in touch with DainBramage, he should know. The two of them are still friends and they were in a physical relationship in the past.

you're obivously doing this with only good intentions, but I don't think it's a good idea to publically announce he's doing all this. matters like these should be handled as discreetly as possible unless sobotnik himself has posted about it on the forums ask for his info, but keep the reason why to only those that are involved sorry, I don't mean to sound like an ass about it. but I've been in situations like these were people went public about someone's suicide attempt, and it ended [I]poorly[/I]

Thank you, everyone. I have gotten quiet a few messages on Steam and over PMs linking me to people who might know him, and the number of messages keeps growing. We are hoping that nothing bad has happened thus far, and we are keeping are prayers here.

Afraid I can't help unfortunately, but I seriously hope he doesn't off himself. It's not something I want anyone to do.

I really just want everyone to be very cautious when it comes to situations like these hopefully though, once this is resolved the thread will get deleted to avoid it coming back to haunt him or anyone else involved on this forum

We have a solid lead thanks to some research by several Facepunchers including several of the staff. All information is being forwarded to the police as we speak, please keep Sobotnik in your prayers everyone.

Good news everyone, just got off the phone with the police, they have full details and are able to find him without a doubt. Please continue volunteering any information you can, but at this rate he's well on his way to being safe. Now let's just pray that all this hasn't taken too long.

You have no idea how long my heart stopped when I read that Sobotnik is going to off himself. I may only know him for a year, but I known him to be a very likeable and nice person.

Great fucking news guys I just got the call back from the police, he's with the police now, he's safe, he's going to be alright, they're taking him to the hospital just to be safe I figure he and I probably aren't going to have any sort of relationship after this and a part of me feels bad because I know what it's like to be on the receiving end of this but I just couldn't let him kill himself

Medical report? Any word about possible poisoning?

They'll take him to the hospital but it seems like he must have fucked up his dosage or something. But everything looks like he's going to be OK, and I've got the thanks of a police station now. So I guess a couple cool guys and I just saved a life tonight, so that's interesting didn't think I'd ever be on this side of the coin with suicidal scenarios but hey

We actually got very lucky because Sobotnik went to me and I did everything I could (I've been talking to the police), but I couldn't have gotten half this info without JoeSkylynx and his internet detective skills, and it was complete chance that I added him of all the people on Sobotnik's friends list thanks a fucking infinite amount to Joe and to everyone who sent in information, I couldn't have lived with myself if I just let this go by and I would have been forced to without your help
