I was wondering if anybody has had success buying a Somethingawful forums account using a prepaid Vanilla Visa or Mastercard. I want to buy an account, but I don't have a real credit card. My plan was to go buy a prepaid one, but before I drop $25 I want at least some anecdotal evidence that this has worked for others.
I recommend using Paypal. I was able to get my account verified with a Vanilla Visa, but I couldn't use it at all past that.
You can't use PayPal at SomethingAwful.
Agoat what do you mean you could verify your account but you couldn't get past that?
I still don't get why paying for a forum account...

I used one for my account. It works just fine.
