So I just bought something from this site here, and, using some wiki answers links, ruled it was legit (https in the checkout page link for starters).
But now I take another look and it seems some of it is... unfinished. Plus It seems I got an email from a gmail account, but it looks automated.
Take a browse around the site in the link above. Does it seem like I got scammed? Is there something I missed on the site that says "don't buy from here it's not legit"?
Also: They were just down last night for a while, so something could have gotten fucked up in their servers, I'm hoping, which we know happens occasional with facepunch.
In case anyone comes back here:
In response to the lowest posts, I did verify. The site looked legit. nothing was unfinished, The checkout pages were secure.
I Emailed the site owner and he said he would refund my money but it would take 1 or 2 business days. I think he was just having problems with his server which is why this whole ordeal actually happened. Even still, it's 63 dollars. I'll recover.
Looks like some little business, I say legit

The website is powered by "Zencart" (hence ZC). Some error with that system may have been the reason it was down or something. I dunno.
Website isn't even set up properly and the admin username and password for zencart is the default.
I typically don't trust any banners that tell you to remove something from your computer for "security purposes". But that might just be me...
Wouldn't touch these guys with a barge pole.
Did a quick search about the website, I didn't find much besides promotional codes, but other than that the customer base seems pretty much dead.
I found this though:
A bunch of statistics based on user feedback

Based on the 1 other costumer, you got scammed. Sorry OP.
Hmmm..
What do I do now? Just go to my bank and see what they can do to get my money back? I used a debit card.

The fuck? It looks like they just installed zencart. The main page DID NOT look like that a few days ago.

Wow. The number on the site doesn't work (biiiiiiiig surprise), and my bank says I have to wait till the payment clears. Fucking sucks. It is going to be treated as fraud too so I think my account will have to be closed, which isn't bad since I can just open a new account.
Shit sucks. Never making this mistake again.

I just Emailed the people at the website and they said they would cancel my order for me. I Will keep a hawks eye on my debit account now to make sure my cash stays in check. I will probably take this up with the bank to make sure I can be assured that my card will not be used.
What do you guys think? Should I close this account when I can and open a new one to be safe, or should I be good?
Gerbile can you be any stupider.
The site looked normal the other day. There was nothing off about it. I explored almost all of it and it was all in check. Nothing was incomplete or not filled out, or in a template state. Nor was that red error there.
I hope you used Paypal.
Yes your gonna die.

What he said. Your "gonna" will die.
You bought $63 of stuff from a site you didn't even verify?

Oh Fuck you're gonna be poor
You should have verified it first.
