I want to expand my musical horizons, and I figured the best way to do this would be completely at random. I will listen to the first 10 albums posted in this thread, regardless of genre. However, I do recommend you keep it varied. If someone's posted an album similar to the one you were going to post, pick another. Now go! THE ALBUMS:
Listened: <code> - Resplendent Grotesque Melodic in places, insane in others. Great if you're a fan of Opeth or death/black metal in general. 30 Seconds To Mars - 30 Seconds To Mars Very power chord driven with some decent melodies. Nothing particularly ground-breaking. A Tribe Called Quest - People's Instinctive Travels And The Paths Of Rhythm Funky, but what I felt was a little too long for a rap album like that. Architechts - Hollow Crown Would have been pretty decent if the singer didn't sound like he was passing a kidney stone throughout the whole album. Daft Punk - Discovery Good in places, but some bits seemed a bit drawn out, like (appropriately enough) "Too Long". Clutch - Blast Tyrant Pretty damn awesome. Neil's voice is just great. Napalm Death - Scum This was a very confusing 33 minutes. Mogwai - Young Team A very nice mellow album. I liked it. Not Listened: Adebisi Shank - "This Is The Second Album Of A Band Called Adebisi Shank" BATS - Red in Tooth & Claw Blue Stahli - Blue Stahli Boris - Absolutego Buta Otome - Touhou Nekokenban Cannibal Corpse - Evisceration Plague Celtic Frost - Monotheist combichrist - everybody hates you De La Soul - 3 Feet High and Rising Death - Scream Bloody Gore Death In June - But, What Ends When The Symbols Shatter? Death In Vegas - Scorpio Rising Digitalism - Idealism Dinosaur Jr. - Get Me ediT - More Lazers(song) eisbrecher - sünde Eminem - The Eminem Show Fatboy Slim - You've Come A Long Way To Get Here Fleetwood Mac - Lizard People Frightened Rabbit - The Midnight Organ Fight Funkadelic - Maggot Brain Giuseppe Verdi Green Day - Dookie Justin Bieber - My World Killing Joke - Killing Joke KMFDM - Naive Kraftwerk - Trans Europe Express LCD Soundsystem - This is Happening Ludacris - Word of Mouf Massive Attack - Mezzanine Merzbow - 13 Japanese Birds series Miike Snow - Miike Snow Modest Mouse - Good News For People Who Love Bad News Paniq - Story of Ohm Parliament - The Clones of Doctor Funkenstein Pixies - Doolittle Portishead - Dummy Ryuichi Sakamoto - 1996 Sabaton - Coat Of Arms Spoon - Gimme Fiction Sunstorm - house of dreams Talking Heads - Remain in Light The Sisters Of Mercy - Floodland Threshold - Psychedelicatessen Wire - Pink Flag
I've listened to 8 out of 53, so that's 15.1%
Cannibal Corpse - Evisceration plague
KMFDM - Naive
Crack the Sky - Mastodon
Fleetwood Mac- Lizard People
I've already got Crack the Skye and it's amazing, so I'll skip that one :smug:
Giuseppe Verdi, just listen to one of the things he doesn't necessarily have an album.
You better not skim. You must listen to it ALL.
Of course, but is there any reason you'd say that? Is it like 4 hours long or something? :v:
Pixies - Doolittle It's like if a psychotic 60's rock fan put the distortion all the way up on his guitars. Awesome.
Giuseppe Verdi, just listen to one of the things he doesn't necessarily have an album.
Are there any of his works you could particularly recommend?
Iron Maiden - Edward The Great, The Greatest Hits (2002)
Justin Bieber - My World hope you can expand a whole lot
Fine, go for BATS - Red in Tooth & Claw
Iron Maiden - Edward The Great, The Greatest Hits (2002)
I have every single Iron Maiden album. :smug: [editline]19th March 2011[/editline]
Justin Bieber - My World hope you can expand a whole lot
Wondered when this would be posted. :v:
Discovery- Daft Punk Cross- Justice
Discovery- Daft Punk Cross- Justice
I've already got Cross on my playlist after this album finishes, but I've never heard a Daft Punk album before. [editline]19th March 2011[/editline] Only one more!
Spoon--Gimme Fiction
Clutch - Blast Tyrant
Of course, but is there any reason you'd say that? Is it like 4 hours long or something? :v:
Nah I'm just saying. The album is less than an hour-ish I think.
More Lazers by Edit. It's not an album, but you will lost in its awesomeness.
Ah what the hell, keep on posting. I'll make an effort to listen to everything posted at one point or other.
Listen to 'Weekend Songs' its a collaberation album, has some songs you have to listen to before dying, like Young Folks. Word of Mouf by Ludacris 30 seconds to mars by 30 seconds to mars is my personal favorite. Let me know if you like anyone of them.
Digitalism - Idealism
I posted this on Facebook too, and have so far been recommended: Mogwai - Young Team Wire - Pink Flag Portishead - Dummy Massive Attack - Mezzanine
