I want to expand my musical horizons, and I figured the best way to do this would be completely at random.
I will listen to the first 10 albums posted in this thread, regardless of genre.
However, I do recommend you keep it varied. If someone's posted an album similar to the one you were going to post, pick another.
Now go!
THE ALBUMS:
Listened:
<code> - Resplendent Grotesque
Melodic in places, insane in others. Great if you're a fan of Opeth or death/black metal in general.
30 Seconds To Mars - 30 Seconds To Mars
Very power chord driven with some decent melodies. Nothing particularly ground-breaking.
A Tribe Called Quest - People's Instinctive Travels And The Paths Of Rhythm
Funky, but what I felt was a little too long for a rap album like that.
Architechts - Hollow Crown
Would have been pretty decent if the singer didn't sound like he was passing a kidney stone throughout the whole album.
Daft Punk - Discovery
Good in places, but some bits seemed a bit drawn out, like (appropriately enough) "Too Long".
Clutch - Blast Tyrant
Pretty damn awesome. Neil's voice is just great.
Napalm Death - Scum
This was a very confusing 33 minutes.
Mogwai - Young Team
A very nice mellow album. I liked it.

KMFDM - Naive
Crack the Sky - Mastodon
Fleetwood Mac- Lizard People
I've already got Crack the Skye and it's amazing, so I'll skip that one :smug:
Giuseppe Verdi, just listen to one of the things he doesn't necessarily have an album.
You better not skim. You must listen to it ALL.
Of course, but is there any reason you'd say that? Is it like 4 hours long or something? :v:
Pixies - Doolittle
It's like if a psychotic 60's rock fan put the distortion all the way up on his guitars. Awesome.
Giuseppe Verdi, just listen to one of the things he doesn't necessarily have an album.
Are there any of his works you could particularly recommend?
Iron Maiden - Edward The Great, The Greatest Hits (2002)
Justin Bieber - My World
hope you can expand a whole lot
Fine, go for BATS - Red in Tooth & Claw
Iron Maiden - Edward The Great, The Greatest Hits (2002)
I've already got Cross on my playlist after this album finishes, but I've never heard a Daft Punk album before.

Only one more!
Spoon--Gimme Fiction
Clutch - Blast Tyrant
Of course, but is there any reason you'd say that? Is it like 4 hours long or something? :v:
Nah I'm just saying. The album is less than an hour-ish I think.
More Lazers by Edit.
It's not an album, but you will lost in its awesomeness.
Ah what the hell, keep on posting. I'll make an effort to listen to everything posted at one point or other.
Listen to 'Weekend Songs' its a collaberation album, has some songs you have to listen to before dying, like Young Folks.
Word of Mouf by Ludacris
30 seconds to mars by 30 seconds to mars is my personal favorite. Let me know if you like anyone of them.
Digitalism - Idealism
I posted this on Facebook too, and have so far been recommended:
Mogwai - Young Team
Wire - Pink Flag

It's not a well known band, but if you like rock/metal Sunstorm - house of dreams is amazing.
