• A tea with a more powerful flavor

Hey, I've been drinking a lot of tea in these recent months, but I can never quite get into it because it mostly tastes like water and little like the tea. Any tea type suggestions or other ways to make a bag taste more?
you realise when you buy tea you're only buying one serving? You need to put ALL the teabags in the pot to taste it man
Mint tea is pretty strong. Also just let them brew longer than normal. Or add a few extra bags/leaves.
Oh, this is fun. First, throw out all your tea. It's stale and terrible. Second, buy a few tins of Twining's loose tea and a teapot with a big open mesh basket. Third, make sure your water is boiling (if you're brewing black tea, you don't want to burn greens or whites), and warm up your pot before you put the tea in. To brew it, use 5ml (If there's a better way to do volumetric measurement, tell me) of tea leaves per every 250ml of water, and make sure the water is boiling when you pour it into the pot. Let it steep for about three minutes, and then pour it into a cup. I'd also remove the tea from the pot at this point, or it'll get bitter. And that's it. That's how you make strong tea. Serve it with lemon or milk if you want, although keep in mind that the milk goes into the cup before the tea, not after, no matter what anyone else says.

Don't you mean "coffee"?
tea is for pussies and french people
I really like earl grey tea, you might want to give it a try.
I'm interested as to why this matters.
Pouring milk into a cup of near-boiling tea causes it to heat unevenly, and if your milk isn't homogenized, curdle.
tea is for pussies and french people
So pussies?
I got some green tea matcha recently and it's pretty strong. Tastes really distinct too.
tea is for pussies and french people
green tea is the fuel of champions
I'm interested as to why this matters.
I put cream and sugar in my coffee cup before the coffee because pouring the coffee mixes everything together [editline]12th March 2017[/editline]
I really like earl grey tea, you might want to give it a try.
Earl grey is fucking delicious
tea is for pussies and french people
so you drink tea too?
Pour the water on when it's still boiling. Steeping black tea longer than 5 minutes just makes it more bitter, if you want it stronger and you're already using the full tsp/teabag per 6 oz., then add half again or double it. Don't press the tea after you've steeped it, that's how you leach tannins. Ideally, you should ditch the bags and buy loose leaf, it's better, stronger, it isn't literal dust that flaked off the plants, and you can steep it three times. Rinse the cup with some boiling water to warm it before you put the tea in. If adding milk/cream, warm it up before you put it in. That's pretty much it for black tea. I guess you could painstakingly prepare elevenses or enslave some Indians and force them to grow your tea if you want the authentic traditional English home tea drinking experience, or just do the opposite of everything I said to do in the last paragraph while reading a tabloid that confirms all your beliefs if you want the authentic modern English home tea drinking experience.
tea is for pussies and french people
Hey. Shut it before I wack you with my motherfucking giant teabag.
Coffee is for sissyboys and secluded Americans Real men chug molten tar
tea is for pussies and french people
Coffee is good for when you need a quick burst of energy(provided you aren't trying to use it as a sleep substitute). Tea is good as a warm drink that helps you relax. Yes, some kinds have caffeine, but as a whole its more relaxing than coffee. Granted, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Thanks for the awnsers guys
Put cyanide in it
although keep in mind that the milk goes into the cup before the tea, not after, no matter what anyone else says.
What the shit kinda backwards ass Tea are you making here? Oh wait, American, nevermind.
The milk goes into the water/tea mix, not before.
90% of the time I don't drink tea with milk. Ruins the flavor unless it's supposed to be a milk tea IMO. Maybe OP is adding too much? Also Rooibos is good. So are most other herbal teas. Lipton yellow label (with the arabic writing) black tea is pretty good and strong but nowhere near as bitter as regular lipton.
I used to drink straight black coffee and now I drink straight black tea. Earl Grey is my favorite to be exact. Once you get a nice loose leaf set up, you don't go back. Pre-bagged mass market tea like Bigelow is just not as good. Watery is a good description. If your tea is still watery, definitely check your ratio. Tea for 6oz of water is noticeably watery when you put it in 8oz of water.

the only tea i drink is snapple lemon tea i'm gonna guess tea enthusiasts hate snapple?
caffeine is for pussies just do cocaine on a real note, generall if one teabag doesnt do it for me, i toss two in.
I tried to put 4 bags of red tea in a very hot mug and let them sit there for quite a while. Still tastes like water. [editline]14th March 2017[/editline] Beginning to think I might need to buy new tea and in leaf form like you guys said.
