I was watching a trailer, and it looks nice, it says Choose your destiny. So is it similar to oblivion or something?
Damn if you dont mind me asking where have you been the past 4+ years? And yes its a decent game used to be a graphical power house for a source game.
It's an action rpg/fps. The rpg elements include a small inventory and leveling up, different abilities, etc. It's pretty fun and I say it's well worth $10. It isn't freeroam like Oblivion though, it has a linear storyline.
It's a linear RPG. The actual game is so-so but the combat is hilariously fun. You get a Duke Nukem foot that lets you kick orcs into spikes/camp fires/etc. and other fun stuff such as making people slip off an edge by using an ice spell on the ground (there's a gif of this but I can't find it)

Also its a fun game as others have said with a great combat system.
Are you still able to get it? I'd love to get it for free so I can save up for morrowind or elder scrolls.
I literally just reinstalled it today, first time on my new pc. Lots of fun with constant 60 fps :D
the game has the best sword combat i've ever seen in a game, let alone an old source game
Okay 2 questions. Are you able to choose to be evil or good. and are you still able to get this game on the swedish site. Ive got a key somewhere for some space game I cant remember the name, also had one for speedball 2, and had one for Dark Messiah.
Yeah you eventually get to become 'good' or 'evil'
Sweet! I wish I'd have discovered this game during the steam sale. Could've gotten it instead of sniper elite. God damn it. [editline]11th January 2011[/editline] Hnngg

This thread made me reinstall Dark Messiah.
Still play on this just for the fun value ( LOTS ) had it ever since release and i love it the story isn't amazing but its a real entertaining game just for setting up NPCs to die in different and amusingly awesome deaths.
I got it for £3 late last year there's a demo you can try first, its great especially if you are a fan of first person fighting games and light RPG elements.
Where's the guy who has the title about requesting Lianna and Cortana porn when you need him?
It wasn't worth the 50 bucks when it first came out, but for 6 or 7 hours of storyline, 10 bucks seems worthwhile.
Hey guys look what I made
dark messiah M&Ms fuck yes
Yes, I loved this game. Even though it was linear instead of open-world, it was still awesome. I mean, Half-Life was linear. But guys, just look at this awesome launch trailer! HHNNNNGG Seriously, this must be the best game trailer I have ever seen.
Great game, multiplayer is garbage, but I believe it is highly underrated. Props are awesome to use in Gmod too.
Play the game, and after you have played through it once, cheat to level up all your spells and bind an npc spawn to one of your keys. You'll have fun for hours!
Listen to what I do in Dark Messiah. I play it with Howard Stern on in the background, I give myself as many skillpoints as I can and buy everything. Now, here's the thing. With a sword, every kill to a human or orc, I try to decapitate them every time. No kills from constant slashing. No adrenaline kills. Every attack I use with a sword, I do the strafe attack on their necks, constantly hacking at their tendons until their head plops off. It's fun to do this on nightmare mode, so the enemy requires more slashing and chopping. Delicious! It's also really satisfying to walk down a hallway or something filled with enemies, just decapitating every one that comes at you, still walking calmly, like a God! Oh, and let's not forget the ol' jump attack from a high ledge or stairs to soften them up before you finish them off. Also, try freezing an enemy, gently nudging them, then grabbing them with telekenesis and throwing them. When you hold them in the air, the freeze effect lasts for as long as you hold them. And did you know that if a live enemy is a ragdoll on the floor, either from a spell or falling, then you can pick them up with telekenesis without having to get adrenaline!
Brilliant game, fuck the spiders though.
I love this game, but I hate the fact that you go through 5 million dungeons! I want some outside locations unlike the only two I've seen in the game!

I bought it for £1. HMV thought it was a shit game.
