• Unknown Gems in Gaming?

I'm looking for a really good game. I enjoy pretty much every genre, excluding racing and casual, but I'm looking for great games that aren't very well known. For instance; The Movies and Evil Genius. Anyone know of any good ones?
the mother series. I haven't played mother 1, but the other two I enjoyed thoroughly. The third one is really emotionally moving. I'll admit I cried at least twice. Shouldn't be hard to find an emulator to play these, and their fan-base has the japaneese only ones translated to English very well. rpgs are pretty much individual preference though, can't guarantee you'll like it. Still worth a try.
Pikmin perhaps? I feel to most gamers the gamecube was over looked. The sequel by the way, unless you enjoy challenges in which you rip your hair out and have a timed campaign.
This isnt really unknown but The Binding of Isaac quickly became one of my most favorite games of all time.
Impossible Creatures Crimson Skies. Old games, but amazing. I still play them.
Future Cop LAPD
Jet Force Gemini.
Penumbra series Don't know many people that play it but it may have been popular a few years back
Tropico. Any of the Tropicos.
Tomba
Pharaoh?
Machinarium.

If you have a 360 then Vanquish is pretty good
Dungeon Lords, it's like watching a movie that's so bad its good, really fun to play in multiplayer.
DaiKatana :downs: on a more serious note, planescape torment, baldur's gate series, The Nameless Mod (the best singleplayer stand-alone mod ever, for deus ex) and if you have a DS play advanced wars 2: DS (it isn't unkown to most DS owners however).
In my opinion Project Eden and Lost Planet (1, not 2, 2 is just horrible) are very underrated.
Barbie : Dancing princesses. Real gem.

If you want an old, no-thrills, no-plot fun shooter: Vivisector I mean, good luck finding it and all. Basically it's a really odd mix between Far Cry and Serious Sam that boasted an unusual gore system. Oh, and did I mention, basically all you do is shoot furries, soldiers and furry-soldiers all day? Yeah. If you have even a mild dislike for furries, you can mame them all day in this game. :v: However, I will note. It's low budget. The plot is hollow. The gore system is so over the top that humans can run around with their rib-cages exposed. You know what though? It's still a fun romp because of how simple it is. There's a few points where you can get lost because of the awkward navigation - but usually it's run here and shoot everything that moves. Jumping Flash is really fun (PS1)
Jet Set Radio Future.

I would say Freedom Fighters would fall in this. I dont think it was that well known if irc. A classic IO game with a great Kyd soundtrack as always.
Alpha Protocol
Pikmin perhaps? I feel to most gamers the gamecube was over looked. The sequel by the way, unless you enjoy challenges in which you rip your hair out and have a timed campaign.
Pikmin was the genuine shit.
It's not unknown, but the story and multiplayer (4 player split screen mayhem) of the Timesplitter series was awesome. I just hope one day there is a similar one for the PC.
iNinja for gamecube. No one knows about if and I loved it.
