Our good ol Merchant from Resident Evil 4.
"What're ya buyin"
Fuck me I'll be all over RE7 if they gave the RE4 Merchant a return. Even more than I am now.

(I hope it's him, I don't want to read the article as I'd rather not spoil the game in some way)

Fun fact: it's the same voice actor who voices Leon. You can really tell on the line at 00:29 (maybe it's been rushed because that's a bonus weapon ?).
So far, so interesting. I'm kinda waiting for the moment they cock it up, though faintly hopeful.

The demo was just awesome but i somehow got my doubt that the entire game will be like that even though i would like it. So far we know it will be brand new characters with no returning cast, gameplay is to be expected to be the same like the demo except with more envoirments and combat and that is about it.
Hoping for the best, something needs to fill up the gaping black void that P.T left behind after Silent Hills got cancelled
Too right. I kinda wish there was more good survival horror in a similar vein to Silent Hill and oldschool Resident Evil, which hopefully RE7 will at least brush up against.
Hell, one of my dreams is that one day Frictional would make a game a'la Silent Evil/Resident Hill. They make such interesting and terrifying games, to the point where hundreds of Amnesia-likes (or Penumbra-likes if we want to go back further) have popped up, though most of them aren't anywhere near as great. I love Penumbra, Amnesia and SOMA, but Frictional's last two games (even though Oswald Mandus And His Miraculous Mechanical Bacon Maker was technically done by The Chinese Room) left me wishing that they had more mechanical depth.
I'd love to be able to at least TRY to defend myself in a modern Frictional game, rather than endlessly try to hide from them, even if my best efforts merely knocked them out, giving me a few minutes of breathing room to try and relax, all the while knowing that Mister Blobby could wake up at any moment and resume his hunt in the foulest and most murderous of moods. There's some mechanics-driven dread and terror for you, Frictional.
We're not going back to standard zombies, we know that much.
The angry zombie lady at the end of the demo used a knife.

In any case she didn't exactly go in biting at Pete's neck.
